I don't like internal club matters being aired publically.

That's not the Liverpool Football Club way.

I know Heighway has done a lot for this club, but in all fairness, there have been no stars through the ranks for almost 10 years now, so he can hardly get the monk on over this.
The idea of an Academy is to drill youngsters in preparation for the 1st team, not as a separate entity.

Steven Gerrard was the last quality player the Academy produced - it's obviously time he stepped aside, as he just ain't doing the business anymore.

Is it Heighways fault though? Most of the players he produces and prepares, dont go straight into the first team squad from youth football but into the reserves. Surely if questions are to be asked, they should also be asked about our reserves as well. Especially as we have also bought many top young players for the reserves who haven't really pushed for a first team squad place. Heighway has no control over his youth players once they turn 18, and it seems to me its at this age onwards when they seem to fall by the wayside.

Fully agreed. Tell me which family do not have disagreements among siblings?
But then why wash dirty linens in public, more so what a surprise from someone who got so much respect from his 18yrs contributions at Anfield?
Fortunately Rafa chooses to be quiet about it ...
