Half time not the result i was looking forward , though more then confident we can do whats needed in the second half at Anfield

On a very annoying note, wasnt real impressed waking up this morning and quickly logging on before to see the result.
ESPN had the jump to result as Liverpool 1 Benfica 0, you probably imagine my reaction when the actual article downloaded........not happy

Hello RED supporters. I just signed in to congratulate you for your game last night. Despite the defeat it was a great game, but Benitez screwed it all by not putting Gerrard and Crouch from the begining. Well tough luck. I wouldn't speak the truth if I tell you I was not happy, cause I am. You understand, don't you?

I would like to say that Liverpool is the Benfica's supporters favorite club in GB, and your phrase "You'll never walk alone" is used by our Red Devils group of supporters. So you could see how we respect and like your Club and Team.
Besides that and most important our color is the MIGHTY RED, unlike those fcporto supporters (arggghhhhhhh, they make me sick) who came here to give you the idea that they were supporting you. Don't believe in this mermaid chant. All they want is to provoque us Benfica supporters. They don't like anything else but themselves. They only look into their belly button thinking they are the best all over the planet, and the rest does not exist.

All in that club is a lie. Tell me, honestly, before they won the C/L in 2004 (with Mourinho), did anyone know what fcporto was?? I thought so.
Bunch of liers and ignorantes they are. They were always jealous of the greatness of Benfica, they know they are nothing that is why they envy us since ever.
They use to remember us all the time they won the C/L 2 years ago but with whom???..... Monaco LOL!!!!!), if only some of the greatest clubs (Milan, Arsenal, Barcelona, etc) were still in the C/L do you believe they could win?
This year they were smashed by the great and (un)known Art Media (have anybody heard who they are? Neither have I), they only won 1 sole game, and they pretend they are better than us?? Gimme a break!!! Besides that they have a big corrupt president who's being investigated for fraud. These last 20 years (coincidentlly those years where they won most of their titles) they paid referees and had influent people in the League to help them deceiving games. Believe me, the case is very serious (it is called the Apito Dourado, something like the Golden Whistle) and if there is still justice in the world that son of a cow will go to jail for life. Remember their president's name PINTO DA COSTA, similar to Tapie or worst. You will hear about him very soon (there is a GOD upstairs) He corrupted referees by paying them expensive trips (to Brasil, for instance), give them hores in hotel rooms, offered him jewelry in exchange of good results for his team in the field. That guy is a cancer in Portuguese football. So you can half-imagine the smelly hole they live in??

Go Liverpool, just don't win Benfica the next March 8th, for the rest of the games you will have my total support.

And now if you allow me I will dedicate some "kind" words to those Porto beasts

i am wrinting just because and dont agree with some benfica fans in like rennie .... they are just kids, dont listen to them and dont think that benfica fans are like that one. Im going to Anfield Road to see the match and support my team but i have respect for your team, you are not like rennie said. Here in portugal there are a lot of benfica fans that like very much Liverpool, we hate Chelsea...

Nice, I'm new here but I'm happy to see this Portuguese mini-community around here.

I just want to congratulate you, Liverpool fans at the Luz Stadium, because of what I saw and heard, you support your team like almost nobody...

I hope there are no problems with our fans on 8th March, we have also some terrific fans, and I'm expecting to see a good match at Anfield, may the best team win...!

We won the CL, the UEFA Cup and the Intercontinental. U won no sh*t. When we played ManU, Lyon, Depor and Monaco, they were there cause they were the best, andI have no doubts any of them would kick your a*s.Just because you defeated Liverpool in a bad day for them, you feel like you are the lords of the world?! And what's that sh*t about trying to compare yourselves to Liverpool just because of the colour red?! That's the only similar thing really! They were European Champions for 5 times, you were 2, they won it for the last time in 2005, you won a stupid competition in 1962... And you are protected by the press and all the country, they, much like us, don't. So shut up and go die in some corner. About Sundays match: if for some miracle you win 15-0, do you know what that means? That you are "only 5 points behind us". But you know...maybe you lose and the distance turns into 11 points, and then you go to Liverpool in a day in which they play real football, and you get 4 or 5 goals up ur a*s and then you'll be as silent as in the 10 years from 94 to 2004...silly club, with silly supporters, pretending to be great.
About this season defeats against Artmedia and Rangers...in a bad day even a great team like Liverpool can lose to a ridiculous one like benfica, right...? And about our president, he was recently condecorated by the UEFA, while your ex presidente was in jail for 4 years, and the actual one lead to the extintion of 1team...
This kind of attitude is why everyone in Portugal hates benfica...cause you stink...when you lose, you blame everyone but yourselves, and when you win you are the best in the world. A stupid team that won 1 championship in the past 11 years, and that won the last european competition in 1962...ridiculous...if it wasn't for the support you get from the media, you'ld be over.

I'ld prefer to eat sh*t than, after winning a 1st leg match of the CL Last 16, coming to the forum of the opposite team, to say how well my team did or how the other team was weak in that match...
Well guys...just forgive benfica fans...they don't know what winning an European Competition is, for 43 years... So just ignore their comments, is the best u can do. I deal with this kind of idiots 365 days a year, and I know how it works.
I'm sure you'll do better on the 2nd leg, and it won't need much to beat them easily... Go on Liverpool.

As much as I like other fans coming on, especially the benfica fans that have come on here and shared information and disscussion. I just wish these Porto fans would piss off. Come on here when you play us, and not to stir the Benfica fans up. Go to their forum for that.
