LIVERPOOL VS EVERTON - Merseyside derby

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby tubby » Wed Dec 28, 2005 1:59 pm

The team must not im and im sure they wont get complacent. The team is really gelling well and playign some efective football this year after a bad start and its good that people are nervous about games becasue if you get knock down of your horse it can take you weeks to recover and we are just starting to build a gap between ourselves and Spurs so we have to be careful if we really want to cement our place in the top three. Everton beat us last year but we were woeful away from home last season. Even David moyes will tell you that we are much better side this year and we should be capable of putting this game away without to much fuss. Id expect Rafa to name a strong lineup. I think hell start with Crouch and Nando again and maybe take one of them off at half time. I would also expect Harry Kewell to start again as i thoughj he did well against Newcastle setting up yet another goal for our strikers. Since Sissoko is back from Suspension and Hamman has recovered Alsono/Gerrard may only play part of the game if any and i think Garcia will play on the right. However being a derby game and given last years lose at Goodison Rafa will be looking to make a point.

We know we have a squad more than capable of getting three points against a side that has conceded 8 goals in 2 games however i dont think Rafa is about to rest any big players for the entirety of the game. I would expect Cisse to make an apearance as well as Momo Sissoko.

If this wasnt a derby id expect a stroll in the park tonight but it is a derby and Everton have proved this season they tend to have a go in the big games, they  have took a point at a in form United and Chelski as well so beware the wounded animal tonight.

They will be right up for it but with the quality and fight we have shown in the last couple of months we should out do them in every department, all me blue sh!te mates are callin for Big Cu*t dunc to play, hope they do, then they will have no excuse for us tonking them.

COME ON THE RED MEN LETS FU*KIN DO THESE ORRIBLE BITTER TW*TS TONIGHT

The very fact that it is a derby will fuel Nevertonians to no end and add more spice to their game. Whether this added incentive is enough, only in the actual match itself will be revealed.

I hope not, and I dearly hope we overcome them because going on form, we should win hands down. But as I said again, this is a local derby and Neverton don't need much more incentives to give 110%.

I hope Sissoko plays and score his first goal for us and we win.

looking forward to this tonight cant wait.It will be more difficult than most are saying, although i cant for the life of me see Neverton scoring. Our defense are so in tune with each other it will take something of outstanding quality to penetrate it.Outstanding quality that Everton dont have in attack.
Two nil win for me with a goal either side of half time.

Yea well said. Meanest defense in the league playing against the kindest attack in the league. Can't see Everton scoring and how we can not nick at least one.

The only concerning thing for me is we are scoring only at a ratio of a goal every 8/9 chances....so all these saying 4 nil etc cant really believe the game is going to be that one sided in a "derby"......really cant see anymore than two goals in it.

Well, it's all ''if's'' isn't it? They could score if its their night as well, I just can't see them letting in 4 goals in again, especially in a derby.
