LIVERPOOL VS EVERTON - Merseyside derby

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby MilitiaRusher » Tue Dec 27, 2005 8:25 am

Although Everton has been playing relatively badly this season, I am sure Gollum has got his lads to be fired up for the 202nd Merseyside derby and it is potentially going to be a helluva game. Nevertheless, we are favourites to end the game with 3 points and I don't see how they can stop us with their dirty tactics in our current form. As expected from a derby, it's gonna be very rough and messy in midfield, with challenges flying everywhere, calling for a careful selection of the starting 11. This is what I'll go for, considering all the inavailabilities:

                      Reina

Finnan  Carragher  Hyypia  Warnock

Gerrard  Sissoko  Alonso  Riise

           Cisse  Crouch

SUBS: Carson, Garcia, Pongolle, Morientes, Kewell.

This one will be a bit worrying. Worrying because Neverton will try to kick Liverpool players off the park and I worry that some of our players may get wound up and get booked or sent off by retaliating to their provocations or worse, get injured.

our high tempo slick passing will be to much for them, once we score a goal the everton players heads will drop and we should get a few more to humiliate them, there forward line is no danger to our big red brick wall of finnan risse carragher hyypia reina, 3-0 gerrard crouch garcia with the goals is my prediction for wednesday

Mo, believe me that whatever we do, however well we pass or score, they will try to kick us off the park. Gollum will rally his troops towards that kind of battle and that thug Duncan Ferguson will surely feature a lot with his trailing arms and flying elbows. They'll be fired up for sure.

i dnt think we can get bullied anymore. take shearer for example, the guy is a thug, as are the rest fo the newcastle team, ut we just outplayed them

and everton on a relatively bad run? conceded 8 goals in 2 games!!!

maybe there will be a backlash and maybe it will be a close physical game but judging on how we have played in the rpemiership for the last couple months i cant see anything apart from a comfortable liverpool win

It is going to be a dirty game. I only hope the referee won't allow them to injure our players.

i will take any score as long as it 3 points and NO injuries but that said the so called "best team from Merseyside" are due a twatting from us.
