Provided we beat Betis the result of our game against Chelsea is not crucial . Important maybe ,but not crucial . Beat Betis and we're through to the next stage ,thats our one and only priority right now.

That also applies to a draw. If we draw there's no way Betis can get past us. We'd be qualified. Second? first? to be honest, I think it doesn't matter, if one of the "seconds" are Real Madrid or Chelsea

Then we'd go happily to Stamford Bridge, and yes, we could say lots of declarations like the ones of Gerrard today. We could send them the message, we are qualified, and we come here to bugger your day. :)

Anyway , best way to get at least a draw, it's to try to win. GO REDS!

i think if we beat betis on weds, we could find confidence. Enough confidence to go at chelsea, and because the game is not crucial. We could come out of it ontop.

I just checked uefa.com and went through the statistics of each match:

Reina:  2
Alonso:  2
Sissoko:  1
Carragher:  1

Reina and Alonso should be careful.

Reina got them for time-wasting antics, hopefully he's learned his lesson.

I'm not recommending Beckham's tactics in getting booked on purpose, but it wouldn't be a disaster if Pepe or Xabi missed the last group game rather than the first leg of the last 16...assuming we were sure to qualify before kicking off against Chelski.

Make no mistake about it, the chavski cheats will try and get alonso booked again to miss a match :censored:.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I would play our best 11 and take NO chances what so ever we don't
want to leave it untill we meet Chelsea by playing an understrenth team,
i would like us to send clear warnings to every team in europe.

Zenden has been playing well on the left-wing so I would continue to play him there.

if risse is able to play, as i think someone said (ciggy  ??? i think) that he will be able to play. I say let the lad play on left wing.

In the away game he played Traore LB, and he also played Traore against Chelsea in the champions league.

Which to me suggests he may do the same again if Joaquin is playing...just due pace.

I would rather Riise was there for this one myself tbh, Warnock has started well and looks like he will make the grade but i think Riise is our strongest player in that position and this game needs a result.

How about Kewell? Didn't he play left hand striker for Leeds? Is it worth playing him there?

If that's the case, let's NOT play him there, we wouldn't want a person sent off so early in the game.  :D

Fine, but if we somehow wnat Warnock, Riise, Zenden & Kewell on the same pitch. One has to go, I say Warnock.
