Back on track ,

Could this work ? I see a lot of flexibilty ,loads of attacking options with Alonso sitting in the middle spraying the ball about whilst being flanked by Gerrard and Sissoko offers attacking support that can equally hold and defend. .

Yes it could, although I would prefer Riise over Warnock.

Yeah AB , I was tempted to nominate Riise but feel that we have to bring Warnock through , the lad is ready , the only way he's gonna get better is by playing more big games .

Tough decision , wouldn't mind Riise starting but then I wouldn't be looking at a primarily 4-3-3 line up .

Zenden has been playing well on the left-wing so I would continue to play him there.

i dont think we should try a 4-3-3, i dont remember if we have played that starting a game. I believe we have played that through a game, but that was because of an injury or card. I definately think as woof has said warnock should be given this game to develop more confidence.

Hmmm , Zenden has done well and early in the season (a cl game ?) I remember him interchanging well with Riise from an attacking perspective ,my reservation however is that as both players like to get forward we could find ourselves vulnerable to a Betis counter attack down our left flank .

if risse is able to play, as i think someone said (ciggy  ??? i think) that he will be able to play. I say let the lad play on left wing.

We played it sort of against Betis in the first game:

Im sure Momo and Luis are on 2 yellows, if they pick up another they will miss the Chelsea game, Id play Hamann anyway bags of experience cool head in this sort of tie, Didi protecting Carra and Sammi.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Kenny Dalglish 1/2/2011

REST IN PEACE PHIL, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
