Brazil will win and providing he's 100% fit, Ronaldo will be top scorer again. I'm going to wage £20 on the double with Hills before the tournament kicks off.

be careful Jmac there has been talk of Ronaldo not even starting the world cup due to the emergence of Adriano. His experience however will probably give him the nod

It is hard to look past Brazil with Ronaldo, Ronaldhino, Adriano etc.

Does anyone know how solid their defence is?

I don't think Europe has a strong team - France were rubbish in their qualifying group (won 1 of the 6 games against the top 3 contenders)

Czech republic were the team that impressed me in last years Euros. Have they got better or worse?

to be honest it's completely irrelevant.

they've got a decent goalkeeper in dida. carlos and cafu must be the two oldest players in the world cup but they can still do a job. if not they just bring in cicinho and ze roberto. in central defence they have lucio, luisao, cris and roque junior (what a player).

they'll concede goals for sure. that's just the way they are. as a matter of fact they don't even have positions or a formation. they just let their natural footballing ability destroy most teams.
