Martin O'Niell billed this game as a nothing, useless and pointless game, he's right of course, but it's so worth it to see Portugal trailing 2-0.

Oh and Ronaldo is at his old tricks again, he really should become an actress, he's so good at it.

Now 3-0 :D

Great strike by Schweignsteiger (sp?)

He's got 2 now and his freekick was deflected and put as an o.g.
I say give the lad the hatrick :)

I don't spose he cares to be honest, he looks like lad who only plays football for the deeply fake and materialistic life style that comes with it.

Why the f.uck didnt Figo start?

One of there greatest ever players, and you cant even give him he's last game after everything he's done for he's country.

Agreed!

he has done a marvelous job with Germany! They are still a young side so hopefully in the future they will become a strong force.

Podolsko-Klose partnership is working really well! The game had alot of attacking football, and Bastian scored two lovely goals!

Portugal were no match for Germany in all respects, apart from that goal by Nuno Gomes, they never looked like winning. Portugal should drop Pauleta, he's c.rap. He's never more than a second rate striker and the fact he's Portugal's all time top scorer really does speak volumes about the strikers that Portugal have produced in recent times.

I was really pleased to see Germany finish on a high last night, I think they've done a marvellous job of hosting the competition and their team has done pretty well considering it's a mixture of very young and quite old players (not that many players at what would be considered to be their peak apart from maybe Ballack/Klose/Frings).

And it made it even better that it was Portugal who they stuffed 3-1.  Ronaldo was at it again last night, the guy's going to be a hell of a target if he stays in the premiership next year.

Schweinsteiger finally showed a bit of what he's capable of.  He hasn't played well since Germany's opening game imo, but 2 tremendous hits last night.  He's certainly not a wide player and with Ballack gone to Chelsea, expect this lad to fill his boots as an attacking centre mid for Bayern and develop into an even better player than Ballack in the next few years.  I think Bayern have also got themselves a good player in Podolski too, I expect them to be a bit more of a threat in Europe next year.
