Great minds think alike and fools never differ .  :D

Constantly amazed at how the "experts" in here have a go a our greatest player since the glory days whenever he fails to "save" us .
Wouldn't blame him now if he told us all to fu'ck off .
:(

Agreed.

He was obviously carrying an injury today.

The old 'If Gerrard doesn't play the team doesn't play' continues to be true. I think we  need to ask ourselves when somebody else is going to step up and run a match for us when he's off form/ injured.

Gotta say SGF is still the best player in the Liverpool squad who can blame him from being fed up playing with the pile of ****** weve got at the moment,Yeah weve got some class players but its not consistant through the squad Baros is still not a team player and never will be Raven and the Young lads just arnt good enough for us at the moment i'm not saying they never will be just saying they aint at the moment,The biggest problem weve got is our limited squad of first team players weve shown that time and time again,Give rafa and the boys a break SG cant be superman all the bloody time lets fumble stumble and drag ourselves through this season and lets see what players Rafa bring's in to Bolster the  squad then we can get on peoples back all we want because there will be no exscuse for them not to play well(Providing they give him the cash to build the squad)

Well, the reality is that to most of them, its just a job. Whether they win or lose, they still get paid. Anyway, we had lost in every possible way this season and hopefully we had reached a point where we couldn't go anywhere but up.

We need players who want to play...thats why Raven and Warnock are a step in the right direction.

Quit bringing this issue up again and again.. so p*ssin off when our own "supporter(s)" start bringing it up ...

I wouldn't doubt Gerrard's commitment to Liverpool. At the same time I wouldn't condone if he blackmails to leave. But if he is smart he would stay.

He somewhat has blackmailed us. If we didn't stay in the Champs League this season, he would have left in January window. No doubt about it, he was already packed.

Sadly I agree. I think the reason he signed a contract in the summer is because he didn't want to leave without a really good reason, now it seems that he has one.

I've been away for the last 2 days, so sorry if what i say's been covered.

Two things IMO: SG's contract he signed isn't pointless - it means we're able to sell him for a much higher fee. Yeah, he may well go now, but i'm still optimistic he'll stay. but if he does go we can maybe, as Stu the Red argues, do well by selling him for 30m and buying 3 or 4 top class players to replace him.

Second point is that part of our problem now is that Rafa inherited a lot of dross from Houllier. But also, even some of the best players Houllier signed are  past their peak - Hyypia, Dudek, Hamann are clearly now not good enough and need replacing. Didi does an insurance job - bring him on to guard a 2-0 lead, but ask him to win us a game - no chance. Rafa to be fair knows that; that's why SG and Alonso are 1st choice. Not knocking Didi too much - but he's a squad player now, he creates nothing.

For me, we're STILL where we were 2 years ago: needing a top-class keeper, a pacy CB and a top-class RM.

Why don't Rafa stop poncing about putting players out on loan and cash in on them. Brum have just got 3m for Savage - we should be selling them Diao for 1.5m now, not loaning. Cheyrou, Diouf, henchoz, Biscan, Vignal - that's another 5m. That would be 6.5m as a down payment on Sean wright-Phillips. Stump up another 5m for Cudicini and we're goign places.
