ADAM LALLANA Official Thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

He's a very skillfull player and he brilliant footwork gets him out of tight areas. That's were it ends I'm afraid! He's got no pace, his final ball is non existent, and his shooting is abysmal. I can't ever remember anyone having as little power in his shots than Lallana, yet he continues to shoot from 20 yards.  I'd be suprised that if he took goal kicks he'd be able to reach the halfway line. Gotze would be a great replacement, but we'd only be able to recoup about £10m on the £26m we spent on Lallana.

This guy cant finish at the moment . We seriously need at least 2 world class signing to lift the other players in our squad and lallana would be the type of player that would  definitely benefit from it .

They all have skills but few of them have a clue how or when to use them on the pitch. His biggest problem is that he is unable to do the basics in tight situations because he is afraid of his life there is a tackle coming.

He has brought absolutely nothing to this team because he was never really that good to begin with.

many criticize him, inlcuding me.
but he did played well today, his goal was a little lucky but full credits to him.
seeing his smile at the end of the game was worth it!
hope he can continues playing well for us.

I've been calling for him to be given a bit more attacking freedom for a while. He was never as bad as people made him out to be imo; the way he was played, he had many restrictions in terms of the spaces he should attack and the positions to hold. He's at his best drifting around and I still think he's been one of our better players this season regardless of the lack of end product. Glad he came on and contributed (changed the game really with his movement off the ball) but the only reason he should be on the bench is to rest him.

A decent sub performance and all of a sudden Lallana should stay?   ???

The lad has been awful for most of the 2 years he's been here and doesn't show up in 9 out of 10 games. His goal yesterday was lucky too as it was a mis hit that could have easily bounced over the goal entirely.

Hopefully it'll push up his price and we'll get half of the 20+ million we wasted on him.

Was good as a big fish in a small pond at Southampton but occasional decent bits of play and a goal here and there don't cut it at LFC. Bin him off to Newcastle, Stoke etc. That's the kinda level he will do well at

I call him a pseudo playmaker because of his ineffectiveness. But I don't understand the criticism of him for the city match. Coutinho, Firmino and Sturridge were contained by the City defense quite comfortably. Lallana came in and made a difference with his running. The the majority of the credit for our equaliser goes to him. I could see him as a good impact sub. I'd say keep him and he's likely not gonna want to ask for a transfer.

So frustrating that he can play like a man on a mission against Man City and be so ineffective today.
