Not even kicked a ball yet so maybe at least let them pull the shirt on first.

The squad? It's the starting XI that needs strengthening mate, not the squad.
You know as well as I do that both those players (along with Bogdan) were picked up because first and foremost they were seen as bargains.

Or they were picked because one is a proven premiership international midfielder and the other is a highly rated young English striker with potential to have a great career - both players that strengthen the squad with the transfer window not even open yet and no teams purchasing any players of note yet - but it doesn't stop all the doom and gloom !!

You would think it's 31st August and we bought no one else

You are obviously a happy clapper, fair enough, each to their own I suppose.

1. That says more about our strikers than it does about Ings

2. Let's see how he handles the pressure of playing for a big club.

Happy Clappy ?! - stop talking drivel - it's 18th June FFS - the summer tournaments are only just getting going - the season doesn't start for just under 2 months and the window hasn't even opened yet

What other teams have players signed and sealed ?

It's not happy Clappy it's called being sensible and realistic and see the situation for exactly how it is and waiting until the window is closed before passing judgement on our signings.

Buck Rodgers lol i understand the sentiment , but youre forgetting something, we have seen the mediocre of previous players under rodgers and theyve been *****. Add to that his undeniable brainstorming tactics and it doesnt look good.

Haven't forgot anything - know exactly the weaknesses we have but know we have some talented players also that with some god bolstering could have a good season

It is happy clappy if you try to paper over the fact that they are all Bosman's, that is not a coincidence.
I don't have much confidence that we will bring in any top players either, it's not as if this transfer committee have a great track record, we spent over £100m last year and ended the season in disarray.

What difference does it make if they are Bosmans ?!

That doesn't make them bad players - in fact it's great that we have signed two players for small amount of money to free up money for others

We have bought some good players over the last couple of years

Coutinho
Sturridge
Lallana
Can

With a few others hopefully having a better second season - we struggled with the lack of a goalscoring striker with Sturridge out injured and others not scoring enough - we have brought in a player to be part of the group of players for that front line - he scored goals in a team that got relegated - every chance he will score a good deal more in a team creating chances.

Who knows who we will sign from now up until the end of the summer but to write everything off already is beyond doom and gloom.

Who would you like to see come Liverpool Buck?  Just as a matter of interest, within reason of course

Players I would like to see would be and players who could be bought

Begovic
Clynne
Hamsik
Lacazette
Augyemeng
Ikay
Muniain
Kovacic

A couple from that list would be good

The manager is currently holidaying in Marbella and will return to Melwood on July the 6th ,whilst Marsh and Pascoe are in Llandudno  :D
Speaking from a purely personal perspective, if my job was on the line I would be moving heaven and earth to make sure everything was in
place to limit any room for consternation or reprisal from the owners.

My apologies for the pic  :Oo:
