We are a self sustaining club that needs to generate funds to spend money on players

Apart from the TV money, the sponsorship deals, the gate receipts, the merchandising and the prize money you mean?

Which right now gives us not very much after outgoings to spend on players - the accounts are clear as day

It wasn't a disagreement - it was a fact , unless you think the accounts show something different ?

It seems it's a crime on here to be positive in regards the club ?

Why is that ?

Because we finished 6th and don't seem to be doing much to rectify the situation.

LFC are heavily in debt. 2017 seems to be the time that will make it attractive to sell the club, because there is going to be a lot happening around 2016 - 2017.  Anyway, spin it anyway you want Buck, there is nothing to be positive about with BR still in charge.

Well last month Forbes valued us at a shade under a billion dollars, considering they bought us for a song they've made a decent return on their investment already, plus the premier league is the wealthiest league there has ever been, last season we were paid £96m in TV money alone.

Is this more insider stuff - is that a little nugget of info dangling there .

The question is - what's happening in 2016/17 - the answer is "well I can't tell you exactly what it is - but something will happen" - the same as the longest review in history.

Remember it's just your opinion that there is nothing positive about BR being in charge - that doesn't make it a factual statement.

So for them to make money they would have to sell us ?

They have made no money from Liverpool FC - money earned by the club is being used by the club to pay for stadium expansions , player purchases and also paying off debts.

For them to make a profit would mean us being a successful club with a bigger stadium.

Well basically, when the naming rights of the Stands have been sold,  added together with TV and + numerous sponsorship deals in 2017, the owners will be looking to move on.

You have to know that new TV deals will start 2016/2017. As you should know, LFC are one of the many clubs under investigation for FFP dodgy dealing, and Budgets are based on the income made by the club. You should know that LFC has massive debts to service, so they have to sell to buy, though they could, in theory borrow more money to spend on players, but that will increase the debt further, which in turn will bring UEFA sactions bearing down.  Bottom line, new TV deals in 2016 -2017 will be in forace + money from Sponsorship deals and money from selling naming rights to the Stands will make them a nice mint. They make the money, perfect for them to sell becuase they have found out just how expensive it is to run an EPL club.

It's the new main stand that is up for naming rights

Have they started a new FFP investigation then ? Haven't we just recently been told that we won't be fined for any FFP issues as well as the rules also recently being relaxed.

Massive debts ? About £40mil isn't it with the club recently actually making a profit

Yes all clubs will get an increase in telly money but that will get swallowed up quick enough.

So yes they may sell us at some point in the future - thats not new news but lots of tentative links to suggest it's next year to the year after.

£25m a year from New Balance
£100m tv/media rights
£200m revenue
£100m+ Merchandise

But we do have a big wage bill of around £150m, which should be lower next year with Johnson and Gerrard leaving..

I see FSG want to make money and tbf we we're only up £0.9m by the end of the season, but Rodgers wasted so much money.
