Falcao cost more in wages than the 9 players we signed  so it goes to show that we never were interested in him. Given these revelations we hardly pursued sanchez either or any other top player despite him claiming that the club tried their best.

Now he say's He has to believe it is possible to compete with clubs who spend the most on wages being the most successful. He said, we have to strive to be the best no matter what wages are spent out on other teams. For a lot of players its about money and gametime and that is the way of the modern game.
After nearly winning the league and qualifying for the cl we were in a great position to attract a top player "but" we have to believe the status of this club and the club moving forward is something that will make players still want to come here and he said the status of the club among footballs elite means they have to find a way of replacing gerrard with a top class midfielder, this is liverpool and we have to be in the running for the worlds best. This is a ridiculous situation we are heading for, He has bought nothing of note since he came in, followed it up with several more windows of ***** and then blew the biggest budget we ever had on more *****. Had he of done better in his first few windows then we might have been in a position to only buy a few players in the last one. We signed far too many players and half of them are not even featuring so why did we buy them in the first place and not use the money saved to pay wages. He is making out that he is not responsible for any of this but he is.

Henry and co need to sell up and go. They are never ever going to compete at anything running the club like this.

The more Rodgers yaps......the more he discloses about himself. He is someone who will do anything to protect his own a$$ by putting the reputation of the club (and the players we have currently) on the line by coming out with these statements (ie...good players don't want to play for us). How do you think players like coutinho, Sturridge, Moreno feel when listening to that ? He is indirectly implying that the players who joined this club are not worldclass/good players ...... What an utterly embarrassing statement.

Why doesn't he shut his mouth and concentrate on coaching the team. Working with the players he has. Improve the defending on set pieces. Instead of coming out with absolute ***** everything he opens his mouth.

He has thrown players under the Bus. He has blamed everything apart from his tactics for our poor form. If King Kenny can sign Suarez (when we were in all sorts of problems)..... If Rafa can sign Torres, Alonso, Mascherano (All these players had multiple clubs after them).....why can't we sign established players now especially when we were back in Europe ?

Rodgers is the problem. Again and again he uses the press conference to boost himself at the expense of players (and the club). His remark about "looking forward to working with world class players" is basically whoring himself to the rest of the clubs who are stupid enough to hire him if he gets the sack. Reina, Agger, Sahin, Balotelli are quality players. Being quality comes with a price. These players have to be managed well and played to their strengths.

But this idiot plays Sahin as an attacking midfielder, Plays Balotelli as dirk kuyt (who runs and presses the whole match) and doesn't man-manage Agger and Reina well when they get unhappy...and shows total incompetency in handling senior players.

Everything he has done has only reiterated the point that he is a mid-table manager at best who can deal with average players like Allen, Ashley Williams, vorm...etc

It would be actually good for the club if the owner just gets rid of this incompetent fool. The players are not performing on the pitch. It is very likely that Rodgers has lost the dressing room (as his press conference comments tends to make them look bad).

Bring someone like Hyppia to shore up the team and get in a proper manager in the summer with hyppia being one of the coaching team (and FSG has to make sure that the coaching team is filled with experience in winning European and Domestic trophies).

Rodgers signed up to all this and its his poor eye for a player that has a big hand in where we are at. He just keeps trotting out excuses blaming everything else when he had a big hand in signing these players and is responsible for getting little from them.

As for FSG. They will always run us on budgets and they are far below the teams ahead of us so we will never catch up and as long as they finish 5th and qualify for the CL every few years. They have no real ambition to win titles because if they did they would have allowed that money to be spent on a couple of players who would have made a difference.
With Rodgers saying the money isn't there for big wages then you have to ask why not ? They have culled that bill to the point that in the summer sturridge will be the highest player at the club. All those 9 signings in the summer cost less than falcaos annual wage which is £12 million by reports. We are paying those lads about 35 to 40 k a week or aprox 1.2 mil a year. surely we can afford to have at least 3 or 4 on a high wage.

Give me  a sugar daddy, rich arabs and Id even take simon cowell as long as they had a real passion in them for the game and the club. This lot will never have that. They only get policies, prospect and profit.

Guys, listen, I agree with you lot that BR is a problem, made mistakes in transfers, team tactics etc etc. I used to slag him and him only like many of you now. But did you know that he is only a part of the major problem and has been made a scape goat by despicable FSG? Read the following post about what James Pearce said about fsg transfer policy.

When he was interviewed for the hot seat, he didn't want a director of football to interfere with his transfer dealings. So fsg agreed, but then they played him out by introducing a transfer committee which Brendan has to get their approval to sign a player. To get approved, the player that Brendan wants must satisfy the criteria of the committee which is set by fsg. So this is worse than having a director of football which is only one person but this committe has at least 3 that BR needs to get approval from with strict guidelines from fsg and the players must be cheap, kids with potential. Thus we can forget about signing ready made mature players that manure, chelsea, arsenal are all doing. As a result, Brendan could easily end up signing players who are his 2nd or even 3rd choice. Now, how can we all blame these farcical signings solely on Brendan? FSG, the transfer committee they created have to take their fair share the current demise we're suffering. So sacking Brendan next May for failing to qualify for CL will not solve the problem, you're only attacking the symptoms. It is fsg and their signing kids policy that is root cause of our current form. We need to change owners before we change manager. Even if we appoint Mourinho or Guardiola to manage Liverpool, with their transfer policy, we'll still end up mid table.

So my message to fsg is, Please sell the club to a willing rich Arab or Russian billionaire. That way, everyone's happy. You will be happy, the new owner will be happy and us fans will be happy.As long as fsg are the owners be prepared to finish mid table, changing manager is not uprooting the problem.

I have been saying that since I realized Rodgers and the transfer committee are almost totally useless. FSG have no idea who the right manager is for us and their advisors are equally clueless. Last season was a false positive as it turns out. We never had a chance to build on that success with our inept management. We could have at least stabilized but with the inclusion of Balotelli we have hit a new low. Every random person on the street could have predicted how that would turn out. Now he refuses to go out on loan!!! Our Suarez replacement 

Our problems all lead straight to the top. The so called brains of our club making poor appointments for management and enforcing restrictive transfer policies tying the hands of the already inept staff to dive back into the reject bin. Surely Rodgers could get 1 solid player with 150 million if the owners had any football smarts?

There must be a bored billionaire out there who wants into a sports club. Call me a plastic fan but It's not a crime to dream
