saying that i`m getting a bit p1$$ed off at this club seemingly turning into a doormat, we all know the moment barca would have made a bid reina would have packed his bags and been down to john lennon airport in a shot, i like the look of begovic, he`s a massive presence between the sticks (he must be 6`6 at least) and the fact that he came for 86 crosses last season and didnt drop a single one of them has got to interest a club like us who struggles to defend set pieces and corners. for such a big man he`s very athletic too, he cant half fly through the air when he has to tip a shot round the post.

is reina going to be in holiday mode next season if he knows he`s away once valdez`s contract runs out?

Good assessment and an excellent question. Reina's form has been down the last couple of seasons and imo it's largely psychological rather than him losing his touch. If he stays, I certainly hope his form improves drastically next season because if not, we might find ourselves in a situation where our starting goalkeeper is worth half of what he is today, and our current goalkeeping target is off to a different club.

We should offer both Reina and Bacelona the chance to either sign him this window or have him extend his contract and commit to the club long term.

Its rather sad really. The fat girl at the disco is looking for someone to dance with and realizes no one wants her. I'd see who else might be interested then off load whilst we can, if no one's interested this year then forget it next year!!

I wouldn't grieve over it if Pepe goes. Since Rafa left, his form has been erratic and committing school boy blunders starting with that own goal against Arsenal in Roy's first Anfield match. I would love it if we can get Mignolet or Begovic to be our next goalie.

Begovic in.  Make Pepe try really hard to keep the number 1 spot. In fact I'd just bring Begovic in anyway to take the number 1 spot, he's a far more capable goalie for the way we now play.

Begovic would be my choice as well.

I don't think we can afford to have two world class goalies. We're not Real Madrid to have someone like Casillas on the bench.

Move him where? Barca were the only ones interested but since Valdes decided to stay with them, they'll probably forget about Pepe, at least until the end of next season. Which is bad for us, if he wants to leave it would be best if he left now, while there are suitable replacements available.

He's not the GK he once was for whatever reason.  Maybe Rafa and Xavi Valero were getting the best out of him?  Maybe our current GK coach sucks at his job?  Maybe he has less trust in the defence?

He's still been a very capable GK though, just not quite as world class as he was a few seasons back.

Correct but now they have a good frog as a keeper.

I'm very dissapointed with Pepe Reina. I can understand a very good keeper having a poor season. That happens. Even two seasons. That may happen.

BUt what you can't afford is to spend so many years at Liverpool and stating to the media things like "going to a bigger club". That besides unfortunate is not very clever. Because you could pretend to be homesick to have a good excuse without hurting any fan.  :no

Get him on a plane to Brazil to have a word with Suarez on how to deal with the media.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.
