Rodgers deserves the same patience

You're right but the Shanks era were before the CL and oil tycoon and sheikh ownership. Today, star players (forget about the few exceptions) only come to you if you have CL football and pay them insane weekly wages that will take the average person one generation of hard work to earn. At the moment we do not have both. So Brendan will probably take much much longer if he can be as good as Shanks and that is if he hadn't been fired before it happens.

Shanks had a smaller pool of players, no foreigners in those days.

Skrtel has realistically had one good season and for me this year he is looking dodgy again.. and you dont moan to the press when your not getting games!!

Not sure who I think we should get.. any suggestions?

Marcos Rojo from sporting lisbon

6 FT 1  can also play LB so cover for Enrique aswell. With Lisbon being 10th in their league dont think we'd have problem getting him

we should also try to get Hangeland from Fulham, very experienced player and contributes with the odd goal as well.

Good player Hangelaand but at 31 not so sure he will fit the bill to be honest I also predict he will be playing his football at UTD next year

Hangeland was a good punt 2 seasons ago not now IMO.

If we are looking in the premier league then you need to look at sides who keep cleans sheets but play a similar style of football to us. The obvious candidates are Williams (Swansea), Olsson (West Brom) or possibly Lescott (Man City).

Rodgers should leave Skrtel out of the team now for moaning to the press.

Shelvey moaned and got put back in the team, same situation with Carra.  He needs the players to see that he is no push over or else he is sending out the wrong signal.

The thought of Jonas Olsson playing for Liverpool makes me feel sick.

Would like Lescott or Williams, don't know what Lescott has done wrong at Man City.

i`d have olsson, we just need a big, tall, aggressive center half that wont get bullied by target men CF`s and he ticks all those boxes.

Are the players and the fans finally getting on to what B-Rods been saying, or has he just got lucky?
