He has said some daft things I agree. But what manager hasnt? He has to learn to shut his gob and stop making a tit of himself like others do
It doesnt help us if we are constantly criticising the manager and if that happens at Anfield then we are well and truly fu'cked.
I dont mean playing badly and losing games, I mean proper FU'CKED!

As in the WBA match we lost because we lost concentration for a ten minute spell and that cost us the match. We are too prone to silly defensive errors and do not seem to have a winning mentality even though we have improved a lot in our style of play. Yesterday and against WBA are very frustrating!

When some of the posters on RAWK turn against him then there is an Issue. As i said i dont blame him. IMO he isnt good enough he might have been in 5 years or so but it was to soon to ask him to drag us up. We needed a world class manager with a proven track record.

The worrying thing is was BR the best out of the people that wanted the job?

Hes right though. Zenit are a good team and we played a great game up until they scored a wonder goal.
If Suarez  would have put 2 of his chances away we would have won. He didnt and we were sucker punched again through the defence folding under pressure.
That was a 1000 % better performance than against wba and I dont really see why you are saying hes a bullshitter based on tonights performance?

I'm sorry mate, we were appalling in the first half, we did ok in the second half but all in all it was a terrible performance. It's also the first time we had a 46% possession in the Europa League, how can Rodgers call it a near perfect away performance?

"In six to 12 months we won't be making those mistakes," said Rodgers. "This is a group that is growing and has come together. And this is part of our growing pains as a group.

BR is ever optimistic at every press conference and post-match review. You do have to appreciate that in a manager.

However, I do wish he'd cut out his repeated use of "As I said" at the start of every friggin sentence. And also perhaps show a modicum of reality by not labeling performances like the one against Zenith as a near-perfect defensive performance in Europe. Rafa could teach him a thing or 2 about that.

It feels like the team have forgotten how to play without DS and he's only been around a month. Some on here complain about Suarez and his chances. Is there anyone else in the team that's bothering to step up and help him score goals? Or this a consequence of BRs tactics?

I was hoping that we wouldn't see these lapses in concentration during the 2nd half of the season, but there does seem to be a worrying trend here and stark similarities with the team he built at Swansea. In fact, we are playing and performing exactly like Swansea were during the 2nd half of the season.

I would also have to admit that I'm not sold on his transfer market dealings. It's ok to consider building for the future, but you can't justify every single signing you make as one for the future. That approach will most definitely lead to a sacking at Liverpool.

At this moment in time there is no way at all that we've made any progress on last season.
We lost some great experience in Kuyt, Maxi and Bellamy and have a team of youngsters now.

Last season we competed in 2 cup finals and finished 8th in the league.
This season our squad looks weaker despite investing, we failed miserably in both domestic cups, we're midtable in the league and It will take a near brilliant performance now to progress in Europe.

Im struggling to find any positives at the moment. A club like us shouldn't have feck all left to play for in February.

Brendan is just following the FSG remit......cups are not important, they are merely distractions for the fans to get excited....there are even LFC followers who detest the cup competitions and are only interested in a 4th place

I know..... appears we are no further forward except our wage bill maybe a lot lower and income pretty much the same so in FSG's eyes a more successful season than last year...progress! or in an American slant...Prog____ress  :wwww

Towards the end of Rafa's tenure he frustrated the life out of me with his stubbornness. The likes of Keene and Aquilani didn't help his case either. But for all that when I look at what we have achieved under three different managers since Rafa was sacked it beggars belief. We weren't desperately fighting for a top four finish  - IT WAS A FUKING GIVEN !! Let's face it he was on his way to winning us the league until it had his famous rant at Sh.itface !!

I grumbled under Rafa that we lacked strength in depth. Currently we simply lack strength. The majority of the players are no better than mid table quality and that is what we have become. We paid £35m for a player who had very limited top flight experience and look where he is now! We then do the same with Rodger's who has very little top flight experience as a manager. WHEN THE FK ARE WE GOING TO LEARN ?????
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 20/21 to 24/25  (10 years
are in brackets 15/16 to 24/25 )
LFC €300m (€420m)
Everton +€33m (€211m)
Arsenal €557m (€853m)
Spurs €571m (€684m)
Chelsea €945m (€1051m)
Man City €370m (€1038m)
Man United €687m (€1240m)

FSG might have given brendan a few bob to spend but you get the sense that he`s having to work within the constraints of this moneyball philosophy malarky.
when he was at swansea and reading he wasnt against bringing experienced pro`s like leroy lita, jobi mcanuff and wayne routledge in.
they were all 27/28 when rodgers signed them.
he`s signed players in their prime in the past, but maybe back then he was just concerned about building a football team and wasnt really bothered about sell on value`s and all that carry on.

Yeah becuase Borini was frigging amazing when he came on wasn't he???
The reality is that almost all the players Rodgers has brought in have been duds with the exception of Sturridge and its way too soon to comment on Coutinho.
Brendan definitely lacks the ability to fire up his troops, just think back to the last time we came roaring out in the secodn half, yeah I'm struggling with that one as well. He is not a bad manager but he has a hell of a lot of learning left to do, I really despair for this club becuase I'm convinced we'll loose a lot of our top players in the summer and I have zero confidence that Brendan will replace them with what we need.

It's hard to play well when the players around you are not either. I don't think he was awful. He had a good volley saved. He got himself into a good position on the Gerrard rebound, but couldn't convert. Its way to early to be judging him as a Liverpool player. It takes time especially for young players to bed into a team. He's also coming back from injury.

On the Gerrard rebound he tried to score with the outside of his right foot, that is a rokkie mistake he shold have used his left foot and it would have been a guaranteed goal. That is the kind of mistake you can't do if you are supposed to be a top striker. Apart form positional sense I see very little potential from Borini, he is very lightweight and lacks the technical skills to get goals on a consistent basis.

We scored more goals/game and got more points/game after the famous "rant".
