what makes me laugh is that some of the people issuing rallying calls to get behind rodgers were the most vociferous in putting the boot into dalglish last season.
whatsmore kenny was a genuine legend of this club who had won everything in the game for LFC as a player and a manager, he even went to 96 funerals but it didnt stop them circling like vultures and ripping him to shreds when things started to go wrong.
if some fans cant get behind a genuine club legend when it goes wrong it`s a bit much for them to expect others not to question a novice manager who has had 1 years experience in the top flight when he is in charge of our worst start since the titanic went down a century ago. we have spent basically the first half of the season in the bottom half of the table and the manager has come out with whoppers like joe allen is the welsh xavi and the title charge starts here (though admittedly a couple of days later he said it`s going to take 4 years before we even challenge for a top 4 place) so of course fans are going to worry. there is nothing on rodgers CV that suggests he is a top manager so fans are going to be concerned.

Maybe someone can come and explain the above and put a point across, then again i expect  you and me are about to be called all the names under the sun.

Last word before I break off to enjoy the festive ...Lets maybe bring in the new year by giving that little bit of extra support for the manager .
I understand some reds fans will have a degree of  consternation concerning our future ,but would it be possible if you changed the derogatory
and inflammatory comments pertaining to Rodgers to a disappointed sigh  .... Its like reading the letters in the  fucking Daily Fail

I haven't heard one single poster saying he will  definitely fail ,because that would be deemed as sticking their head above the parapet ,and no
one is going to leave themselves open to such ridicule WHEN (and I do mean when ) he succeeds in dragging the reds back into contention .

It may take a few years before that comes to pass ,but I'm going nowhere  ,because sooner or later rival fans and in particular the media
are going to have to realise that  eventually the laughing at our failure will come to an end . Its what keeps me going, knowing those cuntz 
will be forced to write about our rise back to greatness .

rodgers needs time, support and patience from fans and the finacial backing  kenny was afforded to stamp his name all over this club. the fact he is a novice places more emphasis on the notion of suppmrt, where fans are concerned.

I am not being funny but alluding to ouryoung players being good because they play for mighty ingerland, is akin to saying roy is a good manager because he manages a nation of underachievers.

i certainly dont believe shelvey and henderson are good enough to hold regular spots for a team with aspirations of finishing 4th - more like 10th. thse along with sterling amd suso are good squad players at the minute. Hence, our squad is very limited and our position in the league clearly reflects this.

I'm having my doubts, I will keep on supporting him, but he has done nothing to prove that I should trust him. He failed miserably in the transfer market by not addressing our weak positions. Everyone knows what we were missing last season, don't even deny it, we were crying out for a finisher who would have converted the 33 posts into goals, but Rodgers goes in and spend 15m on a midfielder, and to add to that we got rid of Kuyt, Bellamy and Maxi without getting any capable replacements. He seriously f*cked up in the summer and that's why we are lying in 12th place. I'm actually dreading the fact we are signing Tom Ince and Daniel Sturridge, more and more overhyped overrated british players. We had 4 months to scout the entire globe to sign players that would actually improve the first eleven and what, Sturridge and Ince are the only players we could find? Look at Diame, Betneke, Michu, Jelavic, all players bought at low values and improved their respective teams greatly. It's about time to stop lying to ourselves and denying the fact we have been p!ss poor in the transfer market since 2008. Rafa, Woy, Kenny and Rodgers all had money to spend, regardless if it's limited or not, they still had money but we went on and squandered them on poor and average players that did not improve our team at all! Please don't give me the ''we aren't in the CL'' BS, Suarez joined us when we were 16th in the league and playing in the Europa League. I'm also appalled to see our own fans coming out with arguments like ''Well Rodgers has limited budget'' or ''FSG should back him up'' (to a certain extent FSG is to blame too) because we are about to spend around 20m on Sturridge and Ince, when we can use those 20m to buy better players!

with a wage bill to match.

Like many others I live every game in my head like its still the 80s and we are going to
trounce the opposition, but when the results come in and we have failed again I realise
just how old I am and face the reality of being Liverpool fan today, a poor soul crying
for help.

Unless Fenway can dig up oil in Boston or spend us into administration we are an ordinary
Premiership football team just hoping for a miracle like everyone else below us did, still
does and alway has, and now we have joined them, welcome to Liverpool FC today.

and who are they? you can't just make up a fictitious claim to make make your point. I myself was behind Kenny all the way and besides expressing my disappointments at the lacklustre displays under him I never got onto Kenny's back like some of you are doing to BR. Ever single word he utters is being scrutinized... it's becoming a witch hunt. And talking up the players that we have for the purpose of suggesting that Rodgers is underpeforming with them is akin to talking out of one's *****! Sterling is a good prospect... but he's not "great prospect in the game" FFS. He is nowhere near the level of Michael Owen when Michael Owen was 17-18. Michael Owen at 17-18 was a "great prospect in the game". Same goes for Suso. These players broke into the first team because our squad is thin. And if we put them on the market, the who's who of European football will be lining up for them? Give me a break. If BR were given more funds to reinforce after selling Kuyt, Maxi, etc then Sterling and Suso would probably be still on the bench or still in the reserves. Brendan Rodgers has been the manager for half a feckin season. And the changes in playing philosophy is there for everyone to see and it is more exciting than the stuff Kenny and Hodgson puts out. Almost everyone agreed that we needed a revolution in our playing style and philosophy and that is what BR is bringing to the table. Not giving him a chance before he can show what he can do with proper support from the owners is not what a supporter should be doing...

Well said, completely agree. I supported Rafa, Kenny and now Brendan and I'll say it again, we need stability within the club and support for the manager and players.

Compare our squad to the teams at the top of the league and it's not as strong but mainly because we are short in specific areas. Left back is a concern but it's mainly up the top of the pitch where we need strengthening and have had to rely on youngsters. Look at the options the manc clubs have out wide and up top, I don't think they're any stronger elsewhere. It hasn't helped yhe team that the performance levels of Stevie and Jamie have dropped off in recent times.

Is it really fair to blame Brendan for getting us into this situation or is it the circumstances of having newish owners and being in the process of restructuring our off the pitch activities ?

Let's wait and see who we sign in January and then see how they affect the performance of the squad. Let's wait until we have a fully fit squad and more competition for places. Let's wait and see how we perform in the second half of the season and then what happens during the summer and beyond.

It's easy to criticise other people when we are just sat behind our keyboards demanding success but should we have the right to be part of the success if all we do is criticise when things go wrong ? It's not going to be easy but let's get behind our team and be part of what we can achieve.

well said, rogers. i guess sturridge wont be signing for us since he wanted so much for his agents. we also wont be signing ince, we will be signing him for free next season. hope he come back to us. end of story.

todays football echo (the pink echo) has those quotes in a big article about sturridge and ince, the headlines of the article questions wether sturridge and ince want to play for us.
the article says if sturridges advisors dont drop their exorbitant demands then we will turn our sights toward kevin gameiro (who apparently plays for PSG).
cant say i`ve ever heard of him tbh.
apparently john henry isnt happy about us being the 3rd top payers in terms of agents fee`s as well.
