agreed

Unless he asks to be dropped that will not happen.
He will believe he has to play through his bad spell and he will come out the other side

Gerrard is playing poor no doubt about it but Neither "Please don't hurt" me Sahin or "Headless chicken" Hendo are better options.
You might try going for a MF consisting for Lucas-Allen-Shelvy with Suarez-Sterling/Assaidi-Enrique/Downing up top.

He's living off his reputation and has been for a few seasons now.

The great thing about previous Liverpool sides is that our managers knew when a player was past his best and sought to sell him as soon as possible. It seems that is no longer the case and this clubs management of late has been trying to beat a dead horse, Kenny with Carragher before Carragher was dropped and now we have this with Gerrard. We'd look a much better side without Gerrard, but what do I know?

When Gerrard was injured last season we were better without him. I hate to say it but at the moment he is a major part of the problem.
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 20/21 to 24/25  (10 years
are in brackets 15/16 to 24/25 )
LFC €300m (€420m)
Everton +€33m (€211m)
Arsenal €557m (€853m)
Spurs €571m (€684m)
Chelsea €945m (€1051m)
Man City €370m (€1038m)
Man United €687m (€1240m)

Time catches up for sure and another factor in Gerrards demise is our play is quicker
that it has been in recent years and its one thing keeping up with Kuyt and Maxi wide
than young lads like Sterling.

He just cannot keep up with the pace of the game and he has a lot of mileage on the
clock compared to other top players his age and just a general observation he doesnt
look to be enjoying it so much now generally.

Brendan had proven himself a brave manager up to now but he now has to go that extra step and drop Stevie, maybe that is what he is positioning himself for with the "certain players need a rest" comment.

It's about time Gerrard stops being a regular starter. IMO he should only start in derby games while he sits on the bench for the other games. I think he will do more damage to other teams if he's played as an impact sub, and more importantly, he'll cause less problems for us.

agree. He's our captain and the England captain...he's just having poor form and wil turn it around.  I'm sure of it

So you expect him to regain his speed, vision and accuracy?
It's not going to happen, he needs to be dropped, take the blinkers off.

so today he was fast, got a goal, had full control the midfield and lead his team to a good will.
