Just because people are not jumping from the rafters after the appointment of Rodgers doesn't mean

A. They want him to fail
B. They think he will fail
C. They are writing him off
D. They will be chanting for Rafa within a month.

I'm going to sit and wait and see how he does and cheers and support whilst at the match and hope that through the results and performances he smashes my worries out of the ground.

It's his chance to become a hero right now , time for him to build something great.

mate you are  writing him off when you agreed with this post

That's being realistic about our current situation and the manager we have employed

We have finished mid table the last three seasons and have appointed a manager from another mid table team.

Do you really want me to bring up all your words of wisdom throughout the years that have turned out to be utter f*cking Sh*t from your media forum

It was a gut reaction post Lakes. Grow the f*ck up you childish *****.

You are a hypocrite because if Rafa had got the job you would be on here slating him left right and centre and your twitter sources have turned out to be utter ***** the whole time.
"hypocrite" dont think so mate, never wished Rafa was our manager in thefirst place and thats always been my view going back years now.

oh and as for twitter, where was it confirmed that we had our new managwer,? oh thats right by Ben Smith from the bbc on his twitter page before making it to the front page of the bbc website, a full 10 mins before ssn reported it....using ben smiths info.

If you read my posts wrong  it might be that you think i feel for Rafa, no i dont, i feel for our new manager.
I reported it first not some twit ben smith or the beeb or five live or even ssn

I have just realised why Lakes' anger managment course are so full - because he spends his whole day ***** people off and making them angry himself

Fickle and ignorant. That is the modern fan
"Ive got a right to express my opinion" Of course you have  but base it on fact, evidence, knowledge, truth, wisdom, experience and independent thinking. Just because people have a right to an opinion doesnt mean it has to be a sh'it one. Yes, people can think that its a massive mistake and we have undersold ourselves. But keep it to yourself for fu'cks sake. Moaning, pessimistic, boring tw@ts going on and on about how low we have fallen. Get a grip! We had a disappointing season but after all the sh'it that happened we won a cup, lost in a final, qualified for Europe and came 8th.
Be positive and believe that we will progress instead of being negative and hopeless. I'm not talking about unreachable goals or unreal expectations but if we come 7th next year that will be progress. Lets unite and get behind our new manager for the sake of our club.

I call it the Chelsea syndrome

Requiring Instant success and if it doesn't happen the manager must be sacked.

Our owners must give Rodgers more than one and even two seasons

Benny, fans on here are a strange lot, some dont get to go to many games as they live overseas but we all wish one thing, that our club will be the best club in the world once again.

Kenny should have been given another year to show if he could get it right but was not, Rafa got given that time and near the end we was looking a poor side, Roy was put in place to stop the rot but did not.

Rodgers has got his work cut out, he has got to get our players to play a way they have not before and they are going to find it hard,
even harder than that he has got to get big names to come to the club, that very hard as he is not a name they know that well, yes they have seen him about but not as the manager.

given time i think he will bring the results we are all after.

just hope we have not got owners like chelsea that sack their manager all the time.

Rodgers is pat of a football managerial team, he not on his own here.

Benny - you started with your terminally boring negative sh.ite when Hodgson was appointed and once again you have started now that it looks certain that Liverpool will confirm the appointment of Brendan Rodger's. You call it concerns but in reality it is just whinging and moaning almost for the sake of it.  Why just for once can't you wear your Carroll positivity hat when it comes to the manager?

Kenny and Commolli spent a shed load of money and FSG quite understandably were not going to be in a position to offer a new manager a fortune to spend which was immediately going to rule out nearly all of the established big named potential managers. LFC made a loss of £59m in FSG's first year and yet some people are accusing them of only being here for a quick profit which really is a bit of a joke!  The quality of the players that we have was not fully maximised last season and I'm convinced that some fresh ideas can produce the results that we should have achieved in the Premiership during 2011/2012.

Good luck Brendan and welcome to LFC.

Best of luck to Brendan Rodgers and hopefully he can get us playing some of the nice footie that Swansea were playing.

I agree with Benny to an extent though, we're miles away from CL at the moment and hopefully our fans / owners realise that and give him time + Support.

My expectations would be a top 6 finish and a cup.

Enough of the cynical talk now people. We need to move forward and we have a bright young manager who plays good football. It may not be the big name we were looking for but we need to put our faith in the owners long term vision for the club.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.
