you can remove the "two". If we have another poor season Kenny will be gone.

From tonights game the major concern is the over reliance on Gerrard. It just further highlights how we havent strengthened at all. We keep relying on one player to dig us out of a hole. He doesnt play theres no goal threat as we have seen all season.

Suarez's creativity is sublime, but we need a player with a cutting edge alongside him. There is no top finisher at the club (besides Gerrard) and a quality #9 needs be be first priority in the window.

You're stating the obvious - we miss our best players (Gerrard, Lucas etc..) and how  they impact the outcome of games, we don't have the clinical finisher we need, new buys have taken longer to settle in and/or come up to the required standard  and we had to move on possibly better players to lighten the payroll.

That much we know.

For those quick to blame KK for buying Carroll, bear in mind thats both Comolli's and the scouts job, plus of course, Rafa said he (ie the club) had a database of 5,000 player videos. Obviously Carroll's video is now 'missing' however there is a recognised structure within the club for players to pass/be approved before they get to the managers desk. None of us like 'accountability' however there must be a few red faces at Anfield concerning the recent buys.

i will like to see if gooners lose RVP for most of the season or manyoo lose fat baldy, RM lose ronaldive, or Barca to lose Messi due to long term injury. Teams will suffer if they lose their star players, and we are no different. in fact no team is different.

You seem forever glued to the bigger picture.

Don't you ever just think: "f'uck it, tonight I'll just enjoy the win..."?

Yeah... just bang that dirty slut and get tested later :p

Was chatting to one of the footie hacks at our place today after work in the pub and was told some interesting stuff:

-The board won’t sack Kenny this season
-The board are very unhappy. The league was priority this season Kenny knows this. His goal was 4th
-There will be more money to spend, but not as much as last summer, unless someone ‘special’ is obtainable
-Next season will be very different. If league results don’t improve to push us into 4th then Kenny will be gone before November

Kenny has also isolated himself with the media by having a go at, or getting p!ssy with virtually every writer, tv presenter and radio guy.

Kenny isolating the media ? Great work then - all a bunch of knobs.

I do find it amusing though how a "journo " knows exactly what are board are thinking when most of them reside in America !

Or then again its your typical media bullshite with no proof.

Believe it or don't...i care not. But people behind the scenes at Anfield talk off the record quite often and the LFC board are in constant contact. The abovce is also widly known throughout the footie press

The majority of journo's are pure scum - just look at what they did in the phone tapping etc. They spread pure ***** and they are the root of most evil within the game.

the knives are really starting to come out for kenny now and it doesn't surprise me, especially after that debacle the other night (which was nothing to do with the manager anyway, irrespective of whether you thought taking suarez off was correct). certain people in the media couldn't wait to have a dig. it started with the suarez situation and now it's the league results. the daily mail had a hideous 2 page attack on kenny today but in all fairness i'd expect nothing less from that gutter rag.

i expected a challenge for 4th and so did the board in an ideal world. however they weren't coming out and saying "we have to get 4th or else". we've played some really decent stuff at times without the rewards and could also end up with two cups (i don't give a monkeys if we win them both on penalties after playing poorly).

this summer has to clearly be better in terms of recruitment policy clearly though. if we are not making progress in the league next season then questions will have to be asked.

I think Dalglish has had his eyes opended this year and found the game has changed much
more than he had imagined.

You can see he is trying to keep a lid on things with his old school style but its a ruthless
enviroment and the media will tear him apart whether he feels its justified or not.

If your given a target of top 4 then you have to hit top 4 and the owners did all but announce
where the line was drawn last summer.

Carling Cup, FA Cup semi, will not save him from a dressing down for not making that
elusive top 4 come the season end.

I don't think it's about "missing out" on the top 4, it's about being closer to 15th than 4th which is troublesome.
It's isn't easy to go from finishing 7th/8th one season 15 pts behind 4th and make it the next season. That is damn hard!
And then Arsenal and Chelski still had awful seasons...

just say that kenny did go in the summer for example, who would you realistically get in to replace him anyway?

so apparently there is someone within the club briefing the national press about kenny`s situation?
when you consider not only this football club but this city`s history and relationship with the national press i find it unbelievable that someone within the club would do that.
what sort of **** would tell the ******* press that kenny might be sacked before november? what the **** is going on at the club? who`s side are these ********* on?
