do you honestly think that the owners gave a caretaker manager £50m quid to spend on whoever he wanted?
when they bought the club the owners went out of their way to speak to billy `moneyball` beane and ask him his advice on buying players based on stats, beane recommended comoli and the owners gave him the job of director of football, do fsg sound like owners who would just give a caretaker manager who had been in the job days £50m to spend on whoever he wanted?
by seeking beane`s advice they obviously had their own idea`s on player recruitment.
it might suit your anti dalglish agenda to blame kenny solely for the transfers but you know yourself that it`s not as cut and dry as that.

I agree with you completely here..i just answered you in another thread which echoes your comment (i hadn't seen yours before i did).

The one thing i would say, as i stated in the other thread, Kenny too has to take some of the blame for signing Andy Carroll as he wouldnt manage a team with a player forced upon him, caretaker manager or not. For me Comolli is primarily culpable, with Kenny also sharing some responsibility.

Usually when you spend big money for a player, it shows a signal of intent, instills optimism in the fans, fear in the opposing fans, and stirs up excitement in the media. With Andy Carroll, the complete opposite occured, the signing bordered on embarrassing, showed a bizarre intent, instilled disbelief and bemusement in the fans, amusement amongst opposing fans, and total incredulity in the media. Whoevers idea the signing was, whether triggered by Mr Henry thinking spending big would show he meant business, Comolli flexing his muscle as director, or Kenny just accepting it without instigating it, it was a signing that has massively effected the club over a year on, and this cant spill into next season as well.

Kerry?
Is that you back with another name because you made an absolute cu'nt of yourself stating you didnt say you wanted KK to get the sack, when you definitely DID?

The easiest way is to ask the mods to check to see if the IP addresses match against certain posters. You can easily tell if someone has created a sockpuppet account this way.

What's the point of giving him a 3 year contract if you don't give him that time to build a team he wants in his image? His future is being discussed 2 weeks after winning the club's first trophy in 6 years. Seriously?

Listen I'm not happy with the League form but for all this man has done for the Club he deserves the chance to put it right.

We've won 2 games in the last 11 in the league...that's relegation form. What's more, we're on the verge of dropping out of the top 10!

and yet beat the bitters in the week and our form may turn. you just don't know in football. two weeks ago everyone had written wenger's obituary. since then he's smashed spurs and milan and beat us and looks on course for 4th now.

i'll ask you a question. if we finish say 6th or 7th this season and yet win the carling and fa cup, would you class that as a failure? if you say yes i find that quite staggering.

I'd consider anything other than a top 4 finish a failure, cup wins are a nice bonus, I'm fairly sure the owners said something similar and considering how ***** Arsenal and the chavs have been it is not good enough that we haven't secured that 4th spot. It's not all Kenny's fault but he is not what we need if we want to challenge for the title. With Kenny in charge I can only imagine more poor signings and a gradual slide into mid table territory.

When Rafa was in charge and delievering CL footie almost every season people were complaining, he got hugely criticized for not always playing strong sides in the domestic cups and was sacked as soon as we had a bad season.
Many posters still don't even like the guy despite him winning the CL and coming as close as anyone has to winning the PL.

Now we have a club legend in charge thats won a trophy in his first full season and still has us competing in the FA Cup later stages.  But they're only bonus mickey mouse trophies apparently and it looks like a fair number of fans want Kenny sacked.

Some of you need to get some ***** patience!

I voted yes but not until the summer. We should hold Kenny to the same high standards as our other earlier managers when it comes to achievements.

We have won the "smallest" cup and I'm ofcourse happy about that but it looks really dire on the football field. Kenny have been given huge amounts of money to spend with few positive results.

And?... when the changeover on the site occured i couldnt access my email address that my account was registered to (apparently it has been hacked into) so i had to use this account, which i had forgotten i had.

To that other poster.. i think you will find i never once stated "i want Kenny sacked"... stating something is sackable (poor signings) is a completely different thing. Others have argued that he should be sacked because of it, i have stated he deserves another crack, hence voted no (which i am sure can be checked).

I think we should all have faith that Kenny will change it, the players, the system, in order to create a winning set up, if things are not going our way. give him another year or two.

bearing in mind that there are only 2 transfer windows per season, he can't do anything till July, personnel wise.

If he doesn't know the club/ and the players, and what the the fans want/ demand, then no one does. one word.....................PATIENCE.

Talk of some LFC fans wanting Mourhino, makes me chuckle. his attitude stinks, and he falls out with the board, and wouldn't last more than one season at Anfield.

Benitez would have another "5 year plan", if we brought him back, so I say stick with kenny.

I wouldn't have Torres back either. His left foot is appalling, and he is one dimensional.

you can remove the "two". If we have another poor season Kenny will be gone.

From tonights game the major concern is the over reliance on Gerrard. It just further highlights how we havent strengthened at all. We keep relying on one player to dig us out of a hole. He doesnt play theres no goal threat as we have seen all season.

Suarez's creativity is sublime, but we need a player with a cutting edge alongside him. There is no top finisher at the club (besides Gerrard) and a quality #9 needs be be first priority in the window.

oh stop your moaning for gods sake, we have just beaten an everton side that were on a 10 game unbeaten run and have turned over the likes of man city, chelsea and spurs recently.
we win a derby game and all`s some people want to do is whinge and moan.

You seem forever glued to the bigger picture.

Don't you ever just think: "f'uck it, tonight I'll just enjoy the win..."?
