Gerrard is, quite simply, the greatest Liverpool  player of all time.  No argument.

Plenty argument .

Ask the question to people who dont remember Kenny playing and they will answer Gerrard - ask it to people who do remember Kenny playin and he majority will say Kenny .

In every poll I always see on the OS and forums Kenny always win . That tells you there is an argument against Gerrard being the new Liverpool player ever .

Not really, I've read a few posters on here before who watched both and said Gerrard is the best we ever had

Regardless, though, the fact is both achieved greatness in different eras and in different circumstances and now they have the chance to make history together. That's something we can all look forward to, we can all agree on that.

spot on

Both are proper legends and great Liverpool players

I have seen both and Kenny wins - its close but I could never see a fault in Kenny's game , I would even be tempted to have Souness close as well .

Damien Comolli: "When you talk to any player, they ask 'will Steven Gerrard be here?' and 'what's his contract situation, I want to play next to him'."

one of the reasons he got an extension?

Anyways still a deserved extension for Stevie, still our best player right now

Dalglish V Gerrard. We can end this argument. They are both on the same level with regards to both being key figures for the club. At this moment you cannot compare the two as simply put, Dalglish has so much more experience off the pitch, and has had to deal with tragedies. So we have to compare what they both have done on the pitch, and you cannot seperate them with a piece of paper. Both are immense.

Immense they are. SG has provided unforgettable show piece match saving/winning goals that are indelibly burned onto our memories but he's also been a weak leader over the years.

Kenny was Mr Consistent and a h'ell of a leader all the way through his career lifting the team around him and dominating opposition plyers and teams.

I love Stevie but Kenny is da man both on and off the field. To achieve that whilst not speaking a word of recognisable  English is a true miracle.
