Quite a pointless thread, the question should be answered yourself, we won't pay him the wages, and why should we, he is such a great guy that Arsenal, city and Madrid dumped him as soon as they could and he ain't even that good a player.
On the other hand we have a young prospect who we haven't seen at his best. I think the 'getting rid of Carroll' thread should wait until a) we have seen 20-30 games and b) there is actually a transfer window open.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players. We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On
not in a million years would i sell carroll for adebayor. adebayor is trouble and thats why he cant settle for a club,he strikes me as an arrogant selfish greedy motherfooker who i personally would hate to see him grace the corridors of anfield. carroll will come good and im sure he was disapointed not to play against manure and will be chomping at the bit to start at norwich. we do need another striker of the calibre of suarez who can torture defenses and score regular so hopefully we secure that person in january and boost our goalscoring chances. truth is though we probably should have insisted on sturridge as part of the merieles deal.
I thought before the season started the Adabayor would be a worthy punt, especially on a year's loan with an agreed permanent fee. For me that was a no brainer. However it was never at the cost of Carroll. We then went on to get Bellamy as the 4th striker instead.
