I was gabbing to an ex player who comes through the station and he said the news at melwood was that gerrard was knackered in the long term We would still get games out of him but not on a consistent basis .

Sad to see Stevie getting so old... His love for England is too bad from an LFC point of view, but he's been England's best player for the past few years.

I really hope he retires from international, or at least skips out on the games against Holland and Wales... He needs to focus on Liverpool and getting us back to where we belong. He's not going to win a world cup... I guess he could hope for Euro but it's just not gonna happen.

If he can hold on for another 2 or 3 seasons at Liverpool he very well may be able to add that coveted premier league title to his trophy case. If he keeps playing for England, he won't last after this season.
