not seen much of either of them - but you gets what you pay for. Lukaka has a £18m + price tag on his head already, so could cost twice as much as connor wickham.

Oop's, posted this in the Hodgson thread, meant to post it here.

Whatever we may think of journalists, whether it be just rumours or hard facts they're hearing, many do have more insight, via their access to players and staff, to whats going on behind the scenes than most of us fans.

In the last edition of the "Sunday Supplement" the journo's reckoned Roy's not likely to be replaced in the Jan window but doubt very much that he'll be at LFC for the start of next season. It also flags up the fact that if Roy's destined to take a long walk of a short pier it's unlikely that he'll be given funds to buy players in the Jan window unless Comoli see's them as assets an incoming manager could use.

Guess the bottom line is we shouldn't be expecting too much if anything come January.

i really think we need a good winger in january it would just give us more options and be alot easier to break teams down. So lets hope roys realises this aswell.

Only 6 months left on his contract so wouldn't cost alot in Jan. From what I saw of him last season he still looked decent. Certainly more then good enough coming off the bench for 15-20 mins a game. Would sell a few shirts still, and has also said he'd like to have a crack at the premier league before moving onto the USA then Brazil.

Only stumbling block would be wages, he's on £120,000 a week at Milan.

Not neccasarily saying we should sign him either, but we have certainly been linked to much worse.

Ronnie in a red shirt would be so epic.  Not going to happen though.

watching some of the CL this morning, and this new boy at chelsea looks a class act. Josh McEachran, 17 or so years old me thinks, he was running the show for chelsea and simply outclassed the likes of malouda and essien around him. Due to his age, I think NESV would consider him a suitable target for their tramsfer outlook.

But why would Chelsea sell the player to us ...

The young lad is class. He has Scottish parents so hopefully they were/are Celtic fans and the influence of Kenny might help.

Or am I clutching at straws  :upside:

As would I but if it were a toss up between Llorente and Andy Carroll I think Roy would go homegrown and buy Carroll.

Unless the influence of Torres and Reina, who we know as senior players are consulted regularly, can influence towards Llorente ???

we're now linked with ashley young for £15m. he's had an alarming dip in form over the past 12 months but in all fairness to him he is playing in a struggling villa side.

there's also no way villa would sell him for £15m imo.
