Yeah but they'll be about as scared of a contempt of court ruling against them in the Uk as I would be a contempt of court ruling against me in Texas wouldn't they? Sure it means I'd have to do Disneyland Paris instead of Disneyland U.S., but I'd get used to idea fairly quick I'm sure of it.

In Texas Law

RULE 12. ATTORNEY TO SHOW AUTHORITY

A party in a suit or proceeding pending in a court of this state may, by sworn written motion stating
that he believes the suit or proceeding is being prosecuted or defended without authority, cause the
attorney to be cited to appear before the court and show his authority to act. The notice of the motion
shall be served upon the challenged attorney at least ten days before the hearing on the motion. At
the hearing on the motion, the burden of proof shall be upon the challenged attorney to show
sufficient authority to prosecute or defend the suit on behalf of the other party. Upon his failure to
show such authority, the court shall refuse to permit the attorney to appear in the cause, and shall
strike the pleadings if no person who is authorized to prosecute or defend appears. The motion may
be heard and determined at any time before the parties have announced ready for trial, but the trial
shall not be unnecessarily continued or delayed for the hearing.

Here you go hon:

'The Texan Court injunction is binding on the board et al in the UK, until the injunction there is lifted by the Texan Court. The anti-suit injunction is not an order against the Texan Court itself. Instead, it is effectively an order compelling H&G to apply to the Texan Court to lift the injunction, on the basis that the Texan Court has no jurisdiction to determine this case. H&G therefore face a choice: either they lift the injunction or be in contempt of the English Court anti-suit injunction, the punishment for which can include imprisonment. H&G would most likely not want to return to the UK with contempt proceedings hanging over their heads.'

Thanx Reg.

Heres the courtcase if anyone wanst to follow it.

Depends whether Hicks or Gillett have any other investments or financial interests in the UK?

Feckin´made up, long live English law, moral codes (that the yanks tw@ts dont have) and bloodt good lawyers like Grabo.

The judge had no choice really, he knew millions of Reds fans needed that result and god gave him the chance to sort the feckers out.

Well done MB, well done Gabo, well done Pink Floyd.

I think it speaks volumes that Hicks legal team didn't even show up. I think they knew he was taking the pi$$ and they would get laughed out of court. Maybe he rang them up and told them to get down there by 2pm and the just point blank refused.

If they don't abide by today's ruling and are therefore in contempt (of England's highest court rather than the 2 bit court house in some hick back water town) could we not ask for them to be extradited to the UK? ???

Might be a stupid question but i don't know the answer, Reg can you help pal?
Shankly on boardroom meetings - 'At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.'

He got my email overnight... if he doesnt want US law to look like a monkey he'll quietly back down.

When he realises T&T didnt even put up a defence in the London court today he'll realise he's out there by himself defending 2 conment and back down.

When he reads the transcripts and realises Grabo and Martin Chivers made mincemenat of his TRO he'll realise T&T have made a díck of him and back down.

When he sees that Justice Pink Floyd forbid any further attempot of his US court to block the ruling, he'll realise he's out of his depth - placed in an untenable position by T&T, and back down.

When he realises T&T did not make full statements of pertinent details and sees they are wasting his and the courts time, he'll back down.

Jordan, back off fella, this isnt your fight.

Last little update for now. Gillett is in London consulting with his lawyers. May be nothing left to consult about. We'll see. #LFC
