SouthCoastShankly wrote:This article from the BBC provides some expert opinion on the situation (better than the wannabe judges on here posting bullish!t)

BBC Business Editor Robert Peston reported: "Although the Texas court has no direct jurisdiction in the UK, both New England Sports Ventures and Liverpool's bankers, Royal Bank of Scotland, would not wish to be seen to be wilfully defying that court, because that could cause harm to their substantial US operations.

"That is why RBS and New England Sports Ventures will attempt to have the restraining order lifted on Thursday. If that's achieved, Liverpool could then be sold from under Mr Hicks and Mr Gillett within a matter of hours."

No one has tried to be a judge here so thats a silly thing to say JBG and Reg are soliciters people are just asking their opinion on the matter.

Dear sir,

I am extremely dissappointed to see the actions you have taken to stop a legitimate board act on behalf of an institution, who have over 100 million supporters in the world. You have supported the actions of desperate men, who have been comprehensively defeated, in the highest court of law in the UK.

The High Court's judgement was so damning aganst Tom Hicks and his associates, that they even refused to grant leave for appeal.

Mr Justice Floyd had earlier upheld the claim by RBS for breach of contract against Hicks and Gillett after they attempted to block the sale last week by dissolving the board, contravening an agreement signed as a condition of refinancing last April that also led to the appointment of Broughton. The QC representing Hicks and Gillett had said in court that the pair accepted their time as owners of Liverpool had come to an end, but that they believed the club was worth more than it was being sold for.

Ruling that their actions in seeking to block the deal represented "the clearest possible breach" of a corporate governance agreement signed with RBS in April as a condition of refinancing, Mr Justice Floyd ordered Hicks and Gillett to allow the club's board to be reconstituted in its original form by 8pm last night.

RBS can take the club as they so wish, as Hicks has deafulted already on the loan to buy Liverpool Football Club.

I hope that you will take time to read your honourabloe colleagues' judgement in the High Court and resolve to lift what is an 'absurd' injunction, which does nothing to honour your legal system.

Thank you

Still sittin' here still wearing my new shrt, my boys were playing on Wii when I got home and didnt even look up... I danced in front of the tv... still no reaction. My wife didnt even notice. Y'know, how many fellas change in the garage putting a new Liverpool shirt on before coming through the back door and no one notices. No justice in this world......

Hicks' lawyer :

Also being sued is Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton. And, says Stodghill, "We allege in the lawsuit he committed some of his tortuous acts in Texas in meetings with Mr. Hicks, so we're suing him in part based on conduct here that did harm to Texas residents."

He's like a bad guy or monster in a bad movie.  Just as you think he's dead and the good guys will prevail, up the monster pops with a final last gasp to claim the lives of his victims.
