I suspect Judge jim jordan is going to feel very foolish, very soon.

I certainly hope he bangs Hicks to rights for wasting his and the courts time.

i dont get it...these two clearly can't take us forward, they won't invest anything and clearly don't give a sh!t about how we fare on the pitch. We're about to go into admin as a result of this and they still want to keep us. am I missing something here?

if they still own us in January there will be one hell of a firesale at this club, then they'll do one
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

This bodged "TRO" makes no mention of the sale process agreement that was dealt with in court yesterday, and is absolutely the crux of the issue. That's governed by English law and has been settled according to English law.

These people are unbelievable - Gillette's share is in the hands of the bank he borrowd from to buy the club.. and hicks defaulted ages ago and RBS' goodwill has kept this going.. and these..

You know what this will be resolved .. but I hope RBS & Co sue these for deflamatory remarks.. and truly wipe them out

Keep the faith Red ppl !
THE BRENDAN REVOLUTION IS UPON US !

12.45am: This from the Dallas Observer Blog, containing quotes from Hicks and Gillett's lawyer:

I just spoke with Stodghill, who says his office is being "innundated with angry e-mails from Liverpool fans." I asked him: How does a Dallas court have jurisdiction over proceedings initiated in the U.K. He says: Royal Bank of Scotland is registered to do business in the state of Texas; and, of course, New England Sports Ventures is U.S. based. Also being sued is Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton. And, says Stodghill, "We allege in the lawsuit he committed some of his tortuous acts in Texas in meetings with Mr. Hicks, so we're suing him in part based on conduct here that did harm to Texas residents."

Hicks and Gillett's £237 million debt to RBS is due Friday. So, then, what happens between now and then, as the TRO hearing is set for October 25? Says Stodghill, what happens in the next two days "remains to be seen." As in: "There could be an additional fight at the courthouse over the TRO -- that could potentially happen. There could be discussions with the board to evaluate the higher offers. The one offer they're refusing to evaluate is £100 million over NESV's. And there could be discussions with RBS."

This article from the BBC provides some expert opinion on the situation (better than the wannabe judges on here posting bullish!t)

BBC Business Editor Robert Peston reported: "Although the Texas court has no direct jurisdiction in the UK, both New England Sports Ventures and Liverpool's bankers, Royal Bank of Scotland, would not wish to be seen to be wilfully defying that court, because that could cause harm to their substantial US operations.

"That is why RBS and New England Sports Ventures will attempt to have the restraining order lifted on Thursday. If that's achieved, Liverpool could then be sold from under Mr Hicks and Mr Gillett within a matter of hours."
