Clearly we had troubles finding a sugar daddy type of owner, but I really don't care, as long as the new owners (lets hope) keep the tradition, get rid of the debt, give us funds for players and build a new stadium I'm happy.

Lets hope the judge next week has a bit of sympathy to Liverpool football club and stop us from going into administration

With the fairlpay rules coming in you wonder if these trophy owners have backed off. Not sure on the ins and outs of the regulations but I get the impression you can only buy players with club profits and not by simply throwing personal fortunes in a game of fantasy football. It its as clear cut as that then our potential new owners are not a dissapointment and the premier league could look very different quite quickly.

I think its a fair kop, Borughton is confident re: the judgement and is staking his own reputation on it.

The premier league to has descretion on whether to make the deduction..

As for sugar daddy-types - a self-sustaining future is for moe important - many billionaires and millionaire, have seen there sizeable wealths dip.. and some of the great clubs (Liverpool, Mancs, Real, Barca, Meelan) have hogged-up the worldwide supporter base, as chelsea are finding on their travels and Man city will pretty soon too..

You know what - I think we are gonna be ok... there will be no administration :buttrock

That IS worrying though.....a club with LFC's legacy not being able to find a buyer with stoopid loads of money....

i dont like what i am hearing from the news outlets, they seem to think that Hicks could get the sale held up even if its just so the club can fall into administration just so it can be split up and that way he thinks he can still get some of his money back....can not work out how the :censored:

this guy thinks.

It seem he is going to state that the board have no right to sell the club at a loss as it was agreed at the time of the deal that a price was set by aG&H and no lower price was to be taken for the club with out the say so of Hicks,

so what he is saying is they sold the club for too less and they had a contract to say the club should not be sold any less than whay Hicks stated in that contract.

well if thats the cae and Hicks is telling the truth (for the first time) the i can not see how the court will let the deal go ahead.

it seems all this has flushed out two more buyers, word is that id we go into administration there could be a bidding war as RBS sell us off.

Depends, because maybe the asking price was 800m? We don't know how much they were asking for. With the financial fair play rules coming in soon, Sugar Daddy's won't be able to spend as much as they want, they won't be able to spend any except on advertisement and tv deals. Sugar daddy's in football just aren't sustainable.

Not worrying at all, sustainable future based on solid business principles is far better option for long term future of Liverpool rather then short term glory of a sugar daddy.

So you want a league title either this season or next season?. Because that's all the R.A and the Sheikhs of this world have before the 'spend' what you 'earn' rule comes in and then if only if us and Arsenal will be outspending every other club including the Mancs bacuse they won't be earning jack if the Glazers remain in control.

Yeah well Citeh fans after ManCity bought the title last year might agree with you..............oh wait a minute

What self respecting fan doesnt want Grail to be back where it rightfully belongs but even sugar daddy clubs arent buying titles as easily as they did when Roman invasion first started

Chelsea sooner or later will pay a price for those titles
