They can take 15 points off us and we sill wont get relagted

i agree with you to some extent dd.we can take a 9 point penalty and still survive relegation, only because its early in the season.
roys future is in his own hands now,and he has to get us playing better than he has so far.i already went on record to say he should be given till xmas at least.as to get rid now would be a rash decision.he has twelve games till the end of december to seriously turn us around and if he doesent its asta la pasta roy.

Interesting read on the BBC website, heres a bit of it

Broughton is a veteran of corporate tussles and will have been carefully advised by his legal team that he stands a good chance of winning a court judgement. His confidence is based on solid foundations.

Meanwhile, the Premier League has been impressed by NESV's business plan thus far and will approve the sale next week. But there is no guarantee that this process will beat the 15 October deadline, when RBS could call in the debt and send Kop Holdings, the club's parent company, into administration.

Administration would not mean a nine-point deduction for Liverpool as the club itself remains solvent but it may delay and potentially scupper a swift change of ownership. NESV would need to remain patient.

But even if the regime of Hicks and Gillett is to be brought to a swift end next week, Liverpool fans will be forgiven for fearing the arrival of yet another American with an interest in baseball.

Premier League have agreed to the Singapore bid also.

Company from Singapore ... Is it Temasek Holdings ??

it could be Profitable Group, who wanted to buy Newcastle some time back.

if it is Temasek Holdings, that's terrible news. i do hope John Henry gets us. im not in favor of Temasek at all

I think we all just need to wait and see what happens.  (Even though its so painful).
Broughton seems like a smart man and i doubt he'd bring this out into public unless he was sure of himself.

The media are obviously all over the story and are spreading all kinds of rumours to sell their stories.

Interesting baseball news these days but not about the Red Sox.  The Texas Rangers are in the playoffs for the first time in 11 years and doing well.  It seems that they are in the process of rising from the ashes left by another Tom Hicks scorched earth project.  For someone so minted this cowboy is f.ucking clueless and everything he touches turns to absolute sh!te.  If a 9-point deduction is the only way to get shot of this cancer at the end of the day, I'd take it.  Short term pain for a massive long term gain.

If we get a 9 point deduction, we would be 8 points off 19th.  Possibly more before we even play again.
And 14 behind 4th.

Our season would be over.

In fairness, the Texas Rangers led their division from almost the start of the season and coasted the whole way.  They didn't let the Bankruptcy, lawsuits and takeover affect them.  And they didn't make any major player moves in the off season prior to this season.  But the players didn't moan about it.  The players did their jobs, play the game.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Yes to Profitable Group because they also organised Liverpool FC Tour of Asia 2009.

No to Temasek Holdings ....

If I'm perfectly honest I still think the 9 point penalty is unlikely. Defaulting on the loan doesnt mean you are insolvent. RBS would need to specifically request to put us into administration. There's no need to put into administration an asset that is already under your control.

You guys need to get some feckin' backbone to yers and stop whinging like a bunch of pussies.

I dont care if we lose 9 points or go down.

What I do care is that our club understands and accepts its financial position, clears out the shít, gets intelligent owners and then moves forward again in one relentless drive to greatness.

Relegation would be a logical end-game after T&T, clear out the deadwood and rebuild. Great manager, Kenny as football director, pride in the shirt, the kop on form. Unbeatable.

We have to take our medecine, no matter how distasteful.

God I hate Hicks.

I swear he would secure all future revenue at this club for a 100 years if he could make a profit meaning the club would be destroyed. Thankfully he can't do that...
