yeah but ciggy only remembers the bad times - she's a sceptical old goat and it wouldn't matter if the richest Liverpool fan in the world took over and paid the lot off and built a new stadium blah blah blah, she'd point out the fact that he once lost 30p playing marbles when he was ten years old.

broughton's chairman. its harder to get rid of him. H&G just need majority vote, they dont need to replace all 3, only a couple to give them more power in the boardroom

. if more fans would of listend to what Ciggy was trying to preach for three years and not have there head up there ar.ses then maybe just maybe we as fans could of hounded them out sooner,

Why can't people see it's not about how much money this guy personally has? We don't need to throw millions around like City and quite frankly I wouldn't want us to.

That was years ago ciggy, the start of the credit crunch, everyone had losses even Abro in Chelsea.

I was told last night by someone ITK that the middle east group where the front runners in this and the board favoured them.

Sorry for being concerned and not jumping through hoops at the prospect of another wolf in sheeps clothing. 3 years of hell most of us have been through the last thing our club needs is the same thing to happen again.

Not my favourite person but he makes a very good point.

i dont want us to either. i dont like that set up. but i do want the debt off the club and a new stadium, which costs more money than he has

I think sensible fans arent expecting the sun, the moon and the stars.

Fans want the club run sensibly. We arent expecting miracles. We want solid foundations to be re-established at the club and a masterplan to take the club forward which will benefit the next generation of fans.

I dont think its unreasonable to want something along the following lines:

- clearance of the current level of debt.

- short to medium term investment in the current playing squad to make it competitive again. I dont think its enough for the new owners to clear the existing debt and pay for transfers with seasonal income/loans in the short term. An initial investment to kick start the existing squad is what is required. This initial investment should come from the new owners own resources, not from borrowings on the club.

- After the initial injection into the team to get things back on an even keel wages/transfer kitty can be covered by seasonal income. No more loans to finance spending sprees. Spend what we earn and no more.

- An initial investment to get work started on the stadium. Again this initial investment should come from the owners' resources and not from loans. Its not realistic to expect the new owners to fund the new stadium entirely from their own profit. I'd personally have no problem in the club borrowing money to pay for the new stadium, at least then repayments of that loan would be an investment in the future of the club and it would be to the club's benefit.

- Putting in place long term commercial and management structures to grow the club's income and ensure that money is well spent.
