Yeah, i saw that this was after the* LIVE * had gone, they showed more banners and claimed up to ten thousand fans stayed behind.

I don't think it's a brilliant article at all. All of Reade's meanderings are lapped up by most people on here, but they all basically represent the same train of thought.

And "replacing Rafa Benitez with someone who wouldn't kick off" is a piece of sh!t too. Rafa had to be replaced by somebody because the players didn't want to play for him anymore. I don't thinkit was a pre-requisite that the bloke we got in didn't "kick off", but it is quite refreshing to see the ownership issue not used as an excuse every time we lose.

As I write this I am aware of protests taking place both inside and outside of Anfield.

The Liverpool fans are making a public statement to anyone thinking of helping Tom Hicks out by offering any form of financial instruments that allow him to remain in control at the Merseyside club.

Many are apparently taking note with the traditional sources of high street and western investment banks shunning the opportunity to earn a few quid.

But I am afraid to say that there are some Middle East and far Eastern banks now seriously considering offering the funds he needs.

A friend of mine who works in the banking sector has told me today that Hicks will be able to re-finance and re-gain control of the company he currently owns 50 percent of.

It seems that he will circumvent the controls allowed by the non-shareholding board members by paying off the RBS debt.

Once that has been done then he chooses his own directors and I doubt if Martin Broughton will be amongst them.

So it seems there are people willing to back Hicks and willing to make money out of Liverpool's plight.

And unfortunately for Liverpool fans they cannot be intimidated by anyone.
