So Joe Coles fantastic turn in the middle of the park taking out 2 midfielders and then putting a ball through to Torres who turns and is about to have a free shot on goal is what you consider united gifting us a goal?

And the second goal was just down to adrenaline?

That's amazing stuff, maybe we could inject the players with adrenaline before each match - surely that's the way forward

Evans diving in gifted us the chance . And O Shea pulling Torres back gifted gerrard the chance for the second which was superbly taken - but what other saves did VDS make in the game ?

Tactically, positionally and his passing was excellent throughout the second half.

Its ridiculous how the opinions after each display have been 180ed from last year. Last season the guys that were pointing out all the good things to take from the displays are now the ones slating every little thing that goes wrong. It seems that for alot of posters its more important to put one over on the other side on here than it is taking a sensible view of whats happening on the pitch - AND I INCLUDE THE PROS AND ANTIS IN THAT.

I'll say it again, we're 5 games in, there is alot of time for things to improve. Everyone try and put their little squabbles aside and together focus on the lads on the pitch and the tw*ts in the boardroom. If you didnt want Hodgson fair enough, neither did I but hes here now so lets assume that he can see as well as us whats going right and wrong out there and give him the benefit of the doubt or heaven forbid, some support!

So next time you're getting down, take a deep breath and remember this cute baby:

Doesnt that make you feel better?

Are you in a bar in Miami and all

And Dundalk Nah ill stick to Michael. Ive not seen anyone calling for Roys head , Yes ive slated a few players but thats minor to what i called some of them last season and any time i think there not playing up to it , yes i did and do still think Roy is not good enough , way way before he came here i said on many occasion over the years , and so far he hasnt done anything to convince me otherwise , but i have never not supported him since he has been here . Any man who manages us will have my support at the game its only proper .What i am concerned with is our manager before the game stating our first priority is to contain Utd , thats a big no no , I sincerly hope things change and he does succed in what hes trying to do after all its LFC were talking about the club i support whoever is the manager :;):

Everyones calling it the worst start etc.. but to be honest, the quality of football is better than last years awful start.

Dundalk wrote:Some on here are very quick to jump down the throat of the manager and even call for his head already. We have a had our worst start to a season in a long time but we have also had a terribly hard opening set of fixtures. The only "given 3 points" that any fan would have expected out of the opening 5 games would have been West Brom at home and thats the way it has turned out.

I though today at times we looked good. In the first half the stats showed we had more possession although we didn't create much, but in fairness neither did United. What some on here seem to be forgetting is that we weren't playing Blackpool away today. It was Man United. In Old Trafford. We have no right to go there and get 3 points. We done well to come back from 2 down and I know a lot are saying after that we sat back but was that Roys fault? Didn't he switch to 4-4-2? Didn't he bring Jovanivic an attacking player on? Could it be said that perhaps the players sat back in the last 10 mins under heaving United pressure?

IMO a lot can be taken from todays performance. This team will come good when they get use to each other and Roy. Its a new regime and its going to take time to settle in, look at Mourinhio at Real Madrid at the moment and Rafa at Inter. It will take time but it WILL happen. I am very confident on that. This was only Coles second League game for us, it was Miereles first league start for us and it was only Koncheskys second game. A run of results and a bit of confidence in the team and we will make the top 4.

My sentiments exactly, I thought we never played as bad as people are making out on here and I also thought there was a lot of pluses to take away from this game and with a bit more fine tuning and gelling things will improve
