There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I wonder what Moores spent a chunk of change on today, I wonder if he enjoyed it.

What I don't understand is how does Hicks intend on making any money if he suceeds in taking control? We don't have the squad capable to mount a title challange and I don't think he is going to put up the money to do so either. And how is he going to finance the new stadium? We will be backto square one again looking for investment to build it.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Couldnt give a :censored: if I'm bering honest. I don't give a :censored: about the good old U S of A. This is the shithole the c(nts are likely to get the finance from, because the country is a country full of backward hillbilly :censored: tw@ts.

Sorry for the attitude but that's how I feel. :buttrock

Well That attitude doesn't help anyone .Especially when we are attempting a united campaign . We need every LFC supporter on board from every country around the globe . Use your bonce lash .

I'm using my bonce. You can be bankrupt in the UK in finance companies won't touch you with a bargepole, bankrupt in the goold old US of A and get finance. F(ck that.

I'll just :censored: the club off fully and live a quiet life. Do you think the people of America give a to$$?. Don't kid yourself.

But if it was blown off the map, we wouldn't have some cracking TV programs. We'd have bollox like Eastenders instead. On the upside, we wouldn't have w@nkers like Tom Cruise and Michael Bay polluting our screens either.

Fair enough. Whatever floats your boat. The only time I watch TV is when football is on, so I couldn't really give a flying f(ck what the Yanks produce tv wise or us for that matter.

I have more important things to chuck my time at other than televison, Each to their own and all that b0llocks.

YNWA.

My little lad can wait.

Let's hope what we do makes people stand up and take notice.

My wee lad was sick the other night, the night of the dame vs Bucharest. So I took him down from bed and he was sitting in my arms as I calmed him down, watching the match. I told him we'd go to Anfield, Daddy would bring him to a game to watch Liverpool play. And he said, very quietly.."Yes Daddy..". I was delighted.
Reading the backpages from some of the papers tomorrow, with that w@nker allegedly on the verge of taking over the club, with Torres and Reina allegedly planning to leave next summer because of it, there's no way in hell I'll bring my boy to Anfield and line that kunt's pockets.

GULP - From the Telegraph - I don't understand how I he can refinance without security?

Liverpool owner Tom Hicks set to sign £281deal to stay in charge
Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks is reported to have told the club’s board that he will sign a £281million refinancing deal to stay in charge at Anfield on Oct 1.

Staying on: it has been reported that co-owner Tom Hicks will remain at Liverpool for another two years Photo: AP

The American, who met Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton in London for talks last week, hopes the deal with the Blackstone/GSO Group will allow him another two years to find a buyer for the Merseyside club, who face Manchester United today.

The deal reportedly does not include any funds to buy new players or to build a new stadium. The notion of Hicks remaining in charge could also lead to questions over the long-term futures of Pepe Reina and Fernando Torres, who have voiced concerns over the club’s ambitions under the American owners.

Liverpool’s board must now decide whether they must mount a legal challenge to Hicks. There is uncertainty over whether the board can block his proposals.

If Broughton et al are powerless to stop him refinancing then that's it isn't it? We're going down the pan  :(

All feels pretty hopeless to be honest. I hope the guy gets hit by a truck.

For the time being its all rumours and scaremongering by the press, no surprise there really. Lets wait and see, I dont think its going to be as easy as hicks just taking over completely. His record shows he is not a man to be trusted, the money men know this. Lets not lose hope just yet.

Hope you're right mate coz I read that (plus there's a few other articles kicking around out there) and feel completely hollow.

How can this clown think he will ever get £600 million for the club? Refinancing (should he manage it) will no doubt add another £30-50 mill to the debt straight away, next years end of year profits will be horrendous compared to previous years dues to lack of Champ League, add another potential season out of the top 4 and the inevitable loss of our best players and we'll be in admin in two years if not less  :(

I just hope the media are as wide of the mark with this as they were with the (now seemingly) ridiculous idea that the club was actually gonna get sold.
