Well that is why Roy was bought in wasn't it because they thought he would stand by and not say nothing. The amount of players we have let go during the summer has been ridiculous compared to what we have replaced them with.

October is not far ahead and I'm not bothered if we get penalised the 10pts they say we could be deducted as long as we get new owners in who have real ambition

the feeling in the City (london) is the club need a good run of good results to be able to get the right bidder, most feel theres too much work to be done at the club and thats also true of the new ground, new plans are now needed for the ground and thats just going to add to the cost of trying to make money out of the club, they feel that it could be upto 7 years before good profit can be made from it.

so its easy to see why some are staying clear of the club.

how would you all feel if we did get a new owner but they said " we are not looking to build a new ground but will look at it again in 5 years, we are going to bild a winning team first"

Id be worried. The stadium is essential to make sure we're competetive in the long term.

i know what you are saying but getting the right team is more of a must, if they can fund the team and we can win the pream then that makes funding the new ground taste a lot better.

heard that Hicks was back in hospital again the other day, he is a very sick man and i dont understand why he needs the stress of the club at the same time.

They better get their skates on then I see us only selling out big games this season, Better get that stadium built hey Tom. :glare:

Don't agree there Lakes. Man city weren't exactly great when they got took over and neither were Chelsea and they haven't got the name and pedigree like a Global renowned name like Liverpool F.C.

The only reason we are not taken over yet is because we have 2 greedy b@stards who think they can get FAR more for the club than what it's worth.

Torres makes his feelings absolutely clear about the Liverpool owners

Fernando Torres was blatantly frank this time and didn’t even try to mask his words: The Merseysiders need a new owner (or owners) before they can even think of becoming a big side again.

This has the direct conclusion that The Reds ace is blaming the Tom Hicks and George Gillett regime for the decline of the Anfield club that saw them finish as low as 7th on the EPL table last season, and Torres believes ‘a change at the top’ is the only way to go if Liverpool are to restore their status as a top team under Hodgson.

“It is fundamental new owners arrive that can make us a competitive side,” Torres told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope. “We’re not that far behind. We had an appalling season last time around, but the year before we were just four points from Manchester United.

“Hopefully we can find a consortium that buys the club and can make Liverpool able to fight financially with Chelsea and United.

“Then let’s see what we’re capable of doing this season. Liverpool kept Steven Gerrard which is fundamental. It’s still a great team.
