his love for the club, clearly
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

the player has ability, he nees to play off the striker, centrally, where stevie usually plays... i still think the guy can do a job

He can't have long on his contract. We need to get him signed up to a new contract quick otherwise he will end up walking away for a few mil or worse.

Daws I don't think babel has the game intelligence to play that role .

He looks more comfy playing centrally. He hasn't got enough skill to be playing wide, hardly ever beats his man when he takes him 1 on 1. He is with us for the next few months at least so may as well make the most of it.

At the very least we will see if a fresh change of manager is what he needed.

Well it's either up to him or N'Gog. I hate it how Babel doesnt even try to do better. He has the potential but the idiot doesnt know how to use it. At least N'Gog looks like he's trying, showes only little improvment but at least he improves, unlike Babel.

If it were between the two to fill the gap if Torres was out id take NGog. He has already shown more promise this season than Babel has in his whole time here. Babel is ok as an impact sub but that's as far as it goes.

He's part of the dutch academy, rated in Holland, and we've seen very small sparks of what he 'could' do.

I personally think theres too much pressure taking over the Stevie role

I remember when he signed and there were even dutch fans on forums actually glad to see the back of him, even more so with the fee we paid. I don't think he was rated that highly.

He should just play on the right wing IMO.

Look at Antonio Valencia. He reminds me a lot of Babel ability wise. Doesnt have many tricks up his sleave just raw pace and quick feet. All Valencia does is hug the line, beat his man for speed and put in a cross. Babel is capable of doing the exact same if he didnt overcomplicate things

Whenever we have seen him do something it has been down to his pace and shooting power not to do with any creativity or silky play mate

nah, disagree. remember the backheel goal against besiktas? the beautiful dummy and shot against derby? there have been plenty of other moments where he has shown quite amazing technique and imagination. too few and far between, obviously, but there is clearly more to him than just pace and power.

Yeah true mate was thinking more along the lines of some sort of creativeness to show he can play in that support role behind toreros
