TAKEOVER COMPLETE - H & G Finally Jibbed!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

This is clearly why Babel is saying in the press today he doesnt want to leave Liverpool!

Theres no nearby take over and T&T refuse to put any more money into the club so we need to reduce overheads and sell players to raise cash. Babel, who´s done f-all for the last 2 seasons shouldnt be surprised its thank-you and goodnight. He had his chance.

I do not doubt for a moment that Gerrard and Torres were promised investment and it is becuase of that they came out and committed there future to LFC. I would not be surprised if, given what has happened with the shambles of a sale process, they are doubting whether this investment will come and whether they should stay.

Is it any surprise that they are not in the squad for tonight's game. I am not 100% sure of the rules but would Gerrard and Torres qualify to play in europe (CL) with another club this season? Maybe after January they would ???

For me it says everything when other PL clubs are more interesting for buyers than lfc.

Take City for example. Mid table/bottom feeder club for years
and Abu Dhabi picks them. Why?

Only one reason. The vermin, nothing else.
We are right now an awful proposition for a buyer, history or no history. The clubs infrastructure say top 10 right now with Stadium, academy, squad and the price is put as if we we top
2-3 in the country.

I'm not sure Torres will go in January or next summer if there are no buys before the window ends next week. Torres is clearly quite well settled at Anfield, loves the club and the fans. Even without trophies I can see him staying to see out his contract unless of course the team were to be relegated.

But you had to leave Liverpool. It doesn’t bother you either? Football fans in Hungary say you got to the right place. If you begin scoring goals that’s great but your big dream, the breakthrough to the first team at Liverpool didn’t come true. Are you not frustrated?

I have no reason to be frustrated. I know how much they appreciated me there and I also know that I would have been given the opportunity but I was unlucky. Anytime I  was near to the first team something always happened. When I went back in the summer the club leaders told me they had financial problems, they needed money urgently, wanted decrease expenditure had to reduce the squad.

This needs posting on its own but i cant do it, its on rawk it needs to be here.

But its ok we have good old uncle Roy to steady the ship and weve signed Joe Cole.  :no

no one's saying it's okay. But its the same owner situation as last summer, but at least we've had a better summer in the transfer market this summer than last summer

Just popped in to read this thread before I hit the hay....and am now hitting the scratcher even more pi$$ed off than I was when I read it last night.
Thanks all.
Thanks T&T - you lying, thieving, two-faced ku.nts. I hope you both suffer horrific accidents very, very soon.
You ku.nts.

Been away for 5 days so not sure whats going on.
So Kenny Haung has dropped out? Surely this is because our owners wanted 600k and Haung only offered 350k? As the October 6th deadline approaches could this change as our owners will be getting desperate by then and might relent on the price? Or perhaps the Oct 6th deadline comes and we will be owned by RBS who would then negociate a better selling price than 600k?

PS I did read in the Sun newspaper (Wednesday) that a foreign buyer has made a sound offer for our club, of course you never know what's true or not with newspapers!

Sorry to be a bit of a slow coach boys.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Not much happened at all other than Kenny pulling out of it.
looks like we now wait until October and see what happens.
H+G might get another extension on their loans.

I heard a rumour too about someone taking over but thats it. No more info  :D

Probably not the best idea to ever read or mention that particular newspaper though.  :)

just letting everyone know I live in South Shields (north east) and saw someone today wearing a 'standard corrupted' shirt so efforts are being recognised over here :)

either that or he was a member of SOS :D
