Actual money might not be able to come in right away but Man City were doing deals before the arabs "officially" took over. I guess if the buyer had money to burn(arabs) it wouldn't be that much of an obstacle.
I don't know how most of you folks stand it in here with all the rumours and nonsense and press-release mania floating about. Aside from a cursory glance (mod obligation) I avoid this thread like the plague.

They would just retain the rights for the player, so if it does fall through they still own Messi.
Cant see any big money being spent though this window.

Ok this is what I have been told
Liverpool board are unhappy with both bids they have received
Kenny Huang was going fund his bid by use of a loan from the financial sector of the Chinese stock market.
Buy off the RBS loan with another loan on the club in hope to grow the club to profit, the same idea that Tom Hicks and George Gillett had when they took over the club.
Yahya Kirdi was more solid but fell short due to no forward looking plan for the club. There were also questions about how he was going to fund the club in the transfer market and new stadium.
Kirdi has been on contact with the club and has been open to questions but his answers have left the board less than convinced.
oh i should add that this is the information that is going around in the city and not from the news media.

I thought you said the other day he was the only 1 that laid down a 5 year plan? So he has gone from a 5 year plan to zero forward planning?

If you really want a good laugh I went to see Spamalot last night at the Liverpool Empire - tickets left for tonights last night show - brilliant fun - please take Lakes with you it will keep him off here for a couple of hours.
I have said all along that this latest saga is all smoke and mirrors! How could anybody in their right mind believe that LFC would be prepared to even consider another loan arrangement against the club similar to what G & H achieved in the most misleading of ways?
