TAKEOVER COMPLETE - H & G Finally Jibbed!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby inglis5 » Tue Aug 03, 2010 10:25 am

I distinctly get the impression that another bidder will win, not KH.  If KH was in pole-position to win the bid anyway then I don't think you'd have heard anything about it before the deal was announced.

I don't know if I am just being knieve but I always seem to believe what Broughton says. He has provided information at certain times throughout the sale process and has consistently said that he would not disclose information relating to bidders and values of bids until the process was complete.

I don't know if it will be people from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, The US or China but when the deal is eventually announced I don't think you'll have heard too much from them through the media before now.

All of the recent information released by Square1, Insiders close to the deal and KH smacks of desperation. It's like he's trying to sue the publicity to garner public support and put pressure on those who will make the decision.

On the other hand, he could just be trying to play hard ball and speed up the sale :D

Either way, I'm delighted that this eventually looks like it may be coming to an end and as long as The Board make the right decision for the club, I'll be happy. You won't see me getting too excited though until I see the actions to back up whatever promises we are given this time around.

good point about the new stadium , in truth i did not think about that way.
once again we could see a takeover but no new stadium.
censorship rules in china are always going to be a problem for anyone that buys into a company in the west, this new guy has done it before and seems to have found a way around them but its going to cut down on what we can make over there.

we have a very big fan base there and i see there is talk of selling lftv to them aswell, very hard to get anything on the web over there.
(lol they might only show games we win lol)

ok i have just been told this and i dont know how true it is.

Broughton is very unhappy about the buyers going to RBS, he has been working with one buyer that has not gone to RBS.

any others made to RBS could be blocked by Broughton as he has control of the debt as RBS have not called in the loan.
there is a very good offer that the Broughton is working on that is a 100% buy out of the club and the debt....that offer is not from Kenny Huang.

Broughton:

"Any bids that go straight to RBS - and there have been several - come to me and are directed to Barcap (Barclays Capital)," he told the Guardian.

"RBS are not involved. The control remains with the board."

 I guess it's the journalists jumping the gun again. What's new. The moment they heard the Chinese guy going to RBS, they report it as a direct bid to RBS... In fact it's not a legitimate bid...

Do you think RBS cares about how much Hicks will make from the club? No, they want to get their money back from the owners and fast. Seeing as the club is a collateral, the bank has the upper hand now and Hicks is forced to sell under their terms not his.

Mh - there has been no formal closure by the lenders to the best of my knowledge. Is that correct? I lose track of this lot to be quite frank.

I read somewhere that there was the 30 July deadline for the payment to be done

Hence why there shouldnt be any real excitement when we read somebody is trying to buy the club in the press.  We have had all this before and it lead to nothing.

That's right..the cats out of the bag.......

chris, the other moderators and myself have been painstakingly working behind the scenes to orchestrate a takeover bid on behalf of Newkit....

Stumbling block has been the proposed return of Rafa Benitez and whether this would go down well with the Newkit shareholders

Hopefully lakes will keep this development under his hat and not go blabbing to fivelive :O
