Or the lightbulbs have been switched off.

If the bit that says Broughton has the power over T&T is true than that can only lead to the conclusion that Barcap has already bought the club. (Or have guaranteed loans that will allow the dickheads to stay in power, and at a higher rate).

Aside from that conclusion the only other explanation is that it's just another pile of  :censored:.  My reasoning for coming to that?  There is no freaking way that Tom Hicks will walk away without a profit.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Did we not just hear a few weeks ago from a reliable source close to the club that we had knocked back 2 offers due to unrealistic valuations?

there is said to be 3 buyers that have had talks with the club over the last few weeks, to of them have spoken to the club before but did not think they could meet the price at the time, the other buyer is a new name.

this dont mean that talks are still going on with them, all i know is that there was buyers talking to the club in the last few weeks.

I just hope as no real news is coing out of the club it might mean that we are being close to being sold.

from what i understood that July was always the deadline G&H set themselves for selling the club.

I can understand people being skeptical but I don't think they'll hang around as long as some think. Of course I may be wrong but surely it is in RBS' best interest to recoupe what is owed and 'continue their long standing business partnership with LFC'.

In saying that, RBS seem to be in a win win situation, with the money they're making on the interest repayments they may not be in such a hurry to part ways with H&G ???

I think I've just talked myself onto the pessimistic side of the fence regarding our clubs future. :(  :;):

Maddock is Purslows mouth piece, yesterday he said in his column that despite very good offers on the table for the club, Hicks is refusing to sell point blank until someone meets HIS valuation.

So no we wont be sold anytime soon with this fat headed greedy fecker being stubborn and p!ssing us off.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Our debt is rising and our stock is falling which doesn't sound very good to me.

Comparisons against Utd are irrelevant as they've had a 1.5bn offer turned down and the Red Knights were willing to part with 1bn, with a stadium already built and with a pretty good squad inplace already.

Just to clear our debt and build the stadium will cost 1bn at this rate.

Look I think we need to calm down. The WC is on and it's the perfect opportunity for the deal to sell the club to be negotiated. Anno it feesl like nothing is happening, but lets face it any discussions and deals are not going to be played out in the media, unlike our whole spine being sold and who the next manager will be.

I firmly believe that there are serious investors out there talking to the club, the Abu Dhabi link, whether a rumour or a real possibility, has been doing the round from several sources, they could all be wrong or right, but I believe, that Liverpool Football Club is a revered and treasured insititution that holds great respect 'worldwide', has a fan base Chelsea and Man City would kill for and anyone who is considering us knows, they are on to a winner.

So whilst this is 'for us' perhaps the lowest point the club has been in, and it is given the ownership disaster, we all must remember what we come on here for; belief in our beloved Liverpool and in that we must also believe that this mess will too be overcome.

Broughton will decide the sale price, not Hicks. H&G are no longer on the board, so they have no say - that much we know.

Begs the question who is creating all the other rumours out there - bored journalists?

RBS would like the price to be set at 450mil
but with half of that going to pay a loan off and that is why most feel the asking price is so high, Hick would like to sell the club and not use the money to pay the loan, this means he is looking for a buyer for the club that will also take the loan as a standing loan and pay it off with their own money.

no wonder the club is hard to sell.
