Latest from the supposed ITK on TIA: (suprise, surprise, it's come out a few hours after the stuff on rawk)

***Update***

For those of you that wish to take this at face value, here's the latest update that I've been given:

A final sale figure has been agreed, I hear it's around £560m.

The sales process has been slightly slower than expected - Hicks HAS intervened on a number of issues, the stadium in particular... He wanted to be involved, as a 'third party' in making sure the stadium is built and that his design is the one that's implemented. He also wanted to have his own team, engaged in the construction process. Only these 2 factors have hampered the natural flow of the deal. He has not attempted to force the sales value towards £800m.

Regarding his stadium demands, I'm quite clear he'll have no involvement with the project going forward. I don't know how this has been resolved but I have heard rumours that a small 'working' partnership with businesses in the UAE have been offered to him.

I'm also told that other parties remain interested and despite Hicks being a pain, the other people are willing to move, should the existing deal break down, which is highly unlikely - I mean 99.9% unlikely. The other parties would step in and also insist that Hicks remains outside of the negotiating and stadium construction process.

Basically, Hicks is 'persona non grata'.

I think the 'official' announcement has slipped by a 7 to 10 days because of Hicks' intervention on the stadium but I think we could hear from the week starting 19th July.

I have not been given the name of a manager, although I have been told that the timeframe is dependent on 'outside' factors. Personally, I'm taking this to mean the World Cup but that's a wild guess. I've been reassured that the main target, has been approached and is highly regarded and would suit the job.

So, to sum up...

The sale has been agreed at around £560m

Hicks will not be involved with the stadium construction

Hicks has not scared off other potential investors

It's 99.9% certain that the existing bidders (Abu Dhabi based) will complete the sale

The sale will be completed or announced after 19th July

The new manager is already known to the board and the new owners

Heard this again from a mate of mine about 15 minutes ago. Says its from a good source. Hears hoping, but until I see them at Anfield with a scarf round their necks I will continue to be sceptical. Too many false dawns.

Lets just hope that there is some substance to this. Like you say there have been too many false dawns.

At this point I do not mind if the new people coming in have billions; all I want is the debt issue addressed so that the club first becomes a viable business able to move forward and be in a good position in these difficult financial times.

The stadium, rebuilding the squad and all the other bells and whistles can wait for a while. I just want to make sure that we are still here in five years.

Yep. I've heard that DIC have agreed to buy the club for £560m and its getting announced on the 15 July.

I'm completely sceptical about these reports though. I'll believe it when I see it.

THE Royal Bank of Scotland are ready to turn up the heat on George Gillett and Tom Hicks to pursue a quick sale of Liverpool Football Club.

Liverpool supporters bombarded RBS Chief Executive Stephen Hester with an email campaign recently, aimed at getting the bank to reconsider the financing deal they have in place with the Reds’ co-owners.

A substantial part of Liverpool’s £237m debt is owed to the government-owned RBS and Hicks and Gillett were forced to re-negotiate an extension on the terms of the deal back in spring.

The RBS have made it clear they are prepared to be patient to maximise Liverpool’s hopes of obtaining a successful sale of the club but they do not want it dragging on unnecessarily – as they want to see the Reds flourishing.

An email to one Reds’ fan from Roger Lowry, the RBS’ head of public affairs, read: “We are confident that the Chairman and the Board will be mindful of the need to avoid any unnecessary delay in concluding a sale, as it is in no one’s interest to risk deterioration in the performance of the Club prior to it being sold.

“Our common goal is the long-term success of Liverpool Football Club and the Bank’s primary objective is to ensure financial stability, so that the Club can continue to perform both on and off the football pitch.

“There is little more I can add at this juncture, only to reiterate we are supportive of the steps that have been taken and we hope to have the opportunity to continue our financial support for the Club under its new ownership, once determined.”

Meanwhile, Daniel Agger – who is hoping to help Denmark make it through to the World Cup’s last 16 – has reiterated his commitment to Liverpool.

The classy central defender was brought to the club by Rafa Benitez and was once linked with a move to AC Milan before he signed a contract extension last year.

“I have no thoughts about leaving Liverpool,” he said.

“I have a four-year contract, I intend to stay and I want to stay, no matter who the manager is. I think my team-mates feel the same.”

finally a ray of light that proves our pleas are finally starting to be heard ..... and add to that : Agger's statement providing more than just a shred of hope especially the part about he thinks the  players feel the same .............

While you were championing the bit (as sarcastic fact) about LFC's finacial demise. RBS came out and said that a few days ago, perhaps if you had taken the time from posting the 'I told you so' stuff and read the boards properly, you possibly wouldn't have been so quick to pat yourself on the back.

You're a little bit creepy now if the truth be told  ???  ,so rather than issue a restraining order for incessant stalking    I think I will just show you how to ignore someone a little more successfully than your piss poor attempts

Only because your arrogance and condescending tone " ??? " since I joined this forum has been little more than French. You've accused me of being someone I'm not, you believe what you say is fact and anyone who disagrees with you is wrong " ??? ". So, to help the misconception you have of yourself (your s.hit does not stink) I've merely pulled you up on a few things now just to let it be known your not always right. If you think that is being "stalked" " ??? " lad, your easily flattered.

Regarding all these weve been sold rumours that are doing the rounds as ive already said i dont believe a word of it but what i do believe is what im putting up here , i have only posted some of the original conversation as the rest has names and is private ,
But i believe without a shadow of a doubt.

Broughton has the majority on the board, H&G cant block him. The price tag on LFC is 330 million quid. First person to offer that, gets the club. H&G say they've put 140 million cash of their own money into the club, the debt is 280m. H&H will get their 140 back and the debt will be reduced to 100mio, ie repay 180 of proper, recognisable debt. 140 + 180 = 340 million asking price. RBS/BarCap have decided H&G will not make a penny out of their aquisition.

The problem is Sandra, NO ONE , repeat NO ONE is talking to the club. The club has NO potential buyers. No Indian, Chinaman or Arab. hence the Fan Share scheme is trying to push ahead. Apparantly the financial chaos has frightened everyone away.

If that were true it would surely mean it's only a matter of time before our best players are sold. How are G&H meant to keep up with the interest payments with no CL footy and us slipping down the table.
