LIVERPOOL F C the TRUTH behind what is going on.
I have been a season ticket holder for 15 years and I believe that now might be the time to quit despite not wanting to give it up. Here are my reasons to believe it’s the end of my time.
First of all Hicks and Gillett put the club up for sale because the fans have turned against them after putting the club in massive debt. These Yanks are not stupid they are multi millionaires and you don’t get that from winning the lottery. So what they do is put the club up for sale and employ Christian Purslow to sell it for them (Also take them out of the spotlight and makes them look like they are trying to sell the club) at a price they know they will not get because no one in the right mind would buy a club for between 600 and 800 million pound that has a debt of over 400 million pounds, Needs over 300 million pounds for a new ground to compete in the future and 100 million at least for new players. Total of at least 1.4 billion pounds and lets face it anyone who has that kind of money has earned it through being very clever and would not be stupid enough to spend all that money, lets remember what they paid for the club was around 174.1 million with a debt of 44.8 million to value the club at 218.9 million in 2007 so now its worth between 1 and 1.2 billion? (Nearly 1 billion pound more)
Next they get rid of Rafael Benitez and again hiding and letting the board do their dirty work. Did they do it because we had one bad season? Was it because he stood up to them last year and won by getting a new contract and in that contract complete control of the transfer money from all players sold to be put back into the team plus what budget we get for that transfer window. Meaning now they can sell who they want Torres or Gerrard ect and not have to put the money back into the team. Why else would you get rid of a manager that not only won the Champions league in 2005 by beating Fabio Cappellos (England manager) Juventus on the way to the Final and Carlo Ancelotti’s (Chelsea manager that won the double last season in England) In the Final but since then has won at Real Madrid and Inter Milan where we had never won before as well as Barcelona. Only a year ago finished with the highest points total for a runner up in a 38 game season with the best points we have had since 1988 with a team that everyone said was a 2 man team Gerrard and Torres no mention of Alonso that everyone was crying about him going this season even though Benitez made a £20 million profit as well. They make out that one of the reasons was because he had lost the players yet Gerrard,Torres ,Agger, Kuyt  and Reina all signed new contracts in the last year. People say Benitez has left us in a mess yet we are taking more players than any other premier team to the World Cup with 13 if you count Milan Jovanovic that is going through now on a bosman signing and with 9 of them playing for top teams Spain(2) England(3) Holland(2) and Argentina(2) these are 4 of the top 5 favourite teams to win the world cup. So why do you think they got rid of Benitez ? I know he went but in his shoes at a club that does not want you with no money to spend after a profit in transfers for the last 2 years. An offer to go for 6 million and a good chance of a top job to walk into what would you do ?  At least he tried to stand up to them.
Finally an increase in season ticket price of £50 form £682 to £732 (£2.50 a game ish) for the Centenary stand with a deadline of 25th June and online only (use to be optional) and no later unlike the past 15 years at least. I ask myself why and can only think that they want the money in quick so that they can sell the top players once everyone has committed. In comparison Everton had an early price of £450 (£282 less) for a team that is a mile down the road and finished 2 points behind us.

Sorry its long but its so annoying YNWA I Love King Kenny but Benitez was the man to take us forward.

welcome to newkit faz, its a big decision to give up a season ticket and i wouldnt put pressure on anyone to do so, its your decision alone, should you decide to keep it just dont spend any money once inside the ground, support local business, also look to join the union, the more members we have the more they will listen.

I will renew my season ticket....I will not apply for uefa cup, league cup or fa cup tickets...I will not spend a penny in the ground,I will however have a pi.ss....I will not spend anymore money on LFC goods until G & H have been evicted from our club...

I ask all season ticket holders do the same.....I ask all non-season ticket holders to only purchase tickets for league games and nothing else....avoid the shop and spend no money in the ground........it maybe only a small contribution but it all adds up on the G&H balance sheet

empty stadiums for the cup games will speak volumes
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW SHINING AT THE END OF EVERY DAY.
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW AND TOMORROW IS JUST A DREAM AWAY.

Hi, I am a long supporter of LFC living in Hong Kong. Last month there was a Chinese Businessman called Zhu Jun said he has interest to take over our club. Today, there is a gossip in Hong Kong said he is backing by China Mobile..The World largest mobile Telecom. The news is only written in Chinese and the link is below:
http://www.chinareviewnews.com/doc....0091811

I translated the news into English by Google translate, as below:
Central Evaluation Agency Beijing June 10 / Xinhua yesterday afternoon, China Mobile and Shanghai Shenhua Football Club to cooperate fully upload the explosive news conference. "It is Zhu Jun of China Mobile is likely behind the acquisition of Liverpool supporters."

According to the Oriental Morning Post reported details of a note, just yesterday the two sides signed the Expo, while the technology channel a domestic site disclosure: a large-scale enterprises on behalf of another within the same time appeared to participate in after Jun Zhu and Barclays investment bank on The acquisition of Liverpool's third negotiation, the two specific conditions of the specific purchase amount and other related discussions, the companies that Zhu Jun financing mergers and acquisitions partner. This report quoted people familiar with the interview revealed that this enterprise, and Jun Zhu cooperation in various business areas, the acquisition of Liverpool's business plan is also the case of communication between the two sides to form a consensus on many occasions.

In fact, as early as after the news of the acquisition of Liverpool, Jun Zhu immediately in their personal micro-Bo put forward "financing M & A" concept and made it clear that the consortium will help the acquisition of Liverpool. Jun Zhu, however I have been willing to disclose the specific name of this consortium, yesterday's signing ceremony in Shenhua and moving scene, a source told reporters that China Mobile is likely to buy is to help Jun Zhu is one of Liverpool's Foundation. Of course, the acquisition of Liverpool necessarily need to use a very large sum of money, as a large state-owned enterprises, China Mobile, the eventual implementation of the scheme will also need to go through a process before being realized. The final answer, but also over time, be known.

"Chest Sponsorship preliminary and superficial cooperation, the two sides in the future strategy in the context of globalization, more cooperation." The source disclosed that the ongoing bilateral cooperation in the acquisition of Liverpool is one of the in-depth cooperation. But China Mobile is not only to help Jun Zhu consortium acquisition of Liverpool, "there will be another one and same China Mobile's position involved in large enterprises, can not reveal the name yet.".
Liverpool will be the fourth round of talks

It is understood that China Mobile Shanghai in recent years sponsored the Go Team, Tennis Masters Cup and the F1 and other events, as the market value of large enterprises with 193 billion U.S. dollars, China Mobile does have ability to participate in the acquisition of Liverpool. Liverpool takeover battle in recent rumored acquirers, including companies like China Mobile India Telecom and Saudi Telecom. Of course, the acquisition of Liverpool certainly need to use a huge amount of money, as a large state-owned enterprises, similar to how foreign investment is not as easy as you think. Speculation is true? The trend of a deal and we will continue to focus.

So far, very slow progress in Liverpool takeover battle. Gillett and Hicks, two American boss, or even do a good job selling the team in preparation for two years, Benitez has now left the Red Army to switch to Inter Milan, Javier Mascherano and Steven Gerrard and other main, also face Other giants lure them away.

It is reported that Shenhua and China Mobile to this cooperation, Jun Zhu specifically back to Shanghai from Beijing. According to the original arrangement, Jun Zhu will proceed to the United States for business today. However, due to the Liverpool area and the fourth negotiation, Jun Zhu delayed the schedule to the United States. July 14, the two sides will continue consultations in Paris, France regarding the acquisition of Liverpool, when the two consortia to help Jun Zhu will also participate in the negotiations. Perhaps the talks, the two Chinese consortia and Jun Zhu doubt whether the acquisition of Liverpool, there will be a preliminary answer.

Anyway, this is the gossip only, I post it for supporter's information..

Thanks for that Chriscli. I think one of the few good things about these bad times is the knowledge that there are buyers out there. We just need to persuade Hicks, the stubborn b'astard, to accept a lower bid for the club.

I like how everyone is saying they will give up cup tickets and not speand anything in the ground etc but are not willing to give up their season ticket (wreaks of hypocrosy to me).

I as much as anybody can not wait to see the cancers removed from the club I love but everybody is kidding themselves to think anything we do will make the slightest difference to what these 2 muppets do.

It's not what I want to hear either & que everyone jumping on my back saying well atleast we are doing SOMETHING which yes is better than nothing. But do you really think in the grand scheme of things it will make the slightest difference??

As Gordon Gekko put it in Wall Street "greed is good" and these 2 clowns are straight from that era.

I see only 2 ways out of this mess, the 1st is a total boycott of all games (and yes i'm not renewing my ST) or the 2nd is to put a bullet in them both!!!!
Shankly on boardroom meetings - 'At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.'

Kopite25, some people have been going to game for 30+ years, I wouldnt give up my season ticket just because of T&T, you have to think longterm. I hope those same fans will enjoy them for another 30 years. Be realistic.

Also whats to say if you gave up your season ticket someone else wouldn't take it? The club is so well supported I don't doubt that they would be filled in just as easily.
