Just throwing this out there.
There is a supposed ITK on another forum who spoke about Rafa's severance package a couple of weeks ago and he got it right. He has taken a lot of flak off loads of others but he keeps coming back with stuff. This is the latest. Probably more :censored: but let's see.

"The board's roles haven't changed, Purslow is still liaising with the known investors and Broughton is there a part-time figurehead - to close any deals. However, as Chairman he had to be involved with Rafa leaving, signing the statement etc.

Hicks and Gillett don't have anything to do with the club, yes they 'own' it but the bank owns them! They are effectively locked out, so no, there can't be a fire sale of our best players. Unless, the players want to leave that is.

Purslow, is also involved with looking for a new manager, in addition to liaising with the investors. Don't be fooled though, he and Kenny aren't looking too hard! They know who's coming in... This has been highly planned. Purslow, is really keeping the sponsors calm and Ayre is doing his bit too.

The investors (both of them) wanted Rafa out before they come in. So the slate is clean and they will avoid any bad press. Yes, it was acceptable to all the investors that Rafa left.

The club will be sold in a 'range' between £450 and £590m. That's a huge variance but the bottom figure is agreed by RBS and Barclays as the 'actual' value of the club. Although both expect the 2 investors to cap out at the £590. Sadly for Hicks and Gillett, they will not get anywhere near £800m.

It's really fluid and really exciting and things are all in hand. You'd be rather daft to think this hasn't been quite carefully planned! "

we can only hope that there is some truth in this.
doubt it though cos if that was the askin price, then i believe that we would have had new owners before now.
and it surely is a bad day if not only the board or manager can sack people but now its sponsors!!!
we are a circus!!

I disagree mate, good owners have nothing to fear. These american owners have pushed the fans to the brink.

Every now and again, you have to say no, enough is enough

no, this isn't good, it is far from good...it gives the impression we are a bunch of racist fukwits.

IMAGE is everything in the world of BRAND FOOTBALL...this really doesn't help us one bit.

Firstly American isn't a race, but a nationality, therefore the burning of any flag cannot be racist. Secondly, these images will go down well in the Gulf and the Middle East where our next owner is likely to stem from. Our chances won't be hurt at all, in fact they may have just increased.

...you just don't get it, do you?

that's why SOS is failing.

The Spirit of Shankly is failing because of my "apparent lack of understanding?"

Do elaborate here...

Nearly every sign, every protest, every piece of PR I’ve seen for SOS uses racist and anti-US language and sentiment. Slogans like YANKS OUT is racist and I’m appalled that it is still used. Why? Because it gives an awful impression of our fans and club to other potential investors.

Who is the right f**king mind is going to buy a club where their fans BURN the owners’ national flags. Imagine the damage that does to the clubs image globally, where shirt sales and club promotion are paramount.

As i said, these pictures give the impression that our fans are racist fuwits. Blame the owners for being American...not for being bad businessmen.  :no
