Good score BUT since the Meireles' superb volley, Lvp were happy to rest on their laurels and gave Wolves most of the possession and lucky we grabbed a 3rd goal to kill off the game. Also we had the poor finishing of Wolves to thank for.
Poulsen and Lukas were mediocre, Stevie G was sorely missed.
Good score but played awful football in the 2nd half where they were happy to just kick the ball away into the Wolves half.

lucas was great today

i disagree we were poor 2nd half, its just they upped their game, we had to defend deeper and counter attack

buying suarez means 442, and 442 with our wingers is pointless

were best suited to the 451 or 433 when attacking at the mo

for me, buying suarez means 4-3-3 with suarez on the left of the three, as he was for uruguay in the world cup.

it's a no brainer for me. we should be playing 4-3-3 anyway with the players we have. it suits us best. hopefully kenny can see that.

If we did buy Suarez then we would need a proper left back and left winger.  Johnson could switch to the right of midfield and between him and a quality left winger they should provide the service for the two front men.  Thats if we kept with a 442.

I was wrong about Meireles in that position behind Torres, at least for away games it worked today where I feel it didn't last week.

Lucas looks more at ease under Kenny, as do most of the others too, still thought we looked shaky at times especially Skrtel but on the counter attack on a heavy pitch was really pleased how well we passed the ball.

Couple of new players next week touch wood.

Just got in from work, first Sat Ive worked in ages and I missed half the game, I went on my dinner for the first half and had a few sly drinks,

One thing I noticed which quite a few on here have picked up on is how much freedom our attacking players have, it was if Kenny is now saying let the opposition worry about us and not us worrying about them. I watched us defending a corner and it was refreshing to see Torres and Maxi staying further forward waiting for the counter attack.

Kenny is just getting started!!!!!!

The style of football that Kenny is trying to get us to play is going to be a joy to watch.  Its a pity we sat back after the second goal, hopefuly thats just the short lived withdrawal symptoms of he who shall not be mentioned's short reign.

Delighted with the win but we hav to keep going now and put Fulham to the sword on wedensday.

A very hard working display today, not the best I've seen, Wolves gave us some problems and we just need to be careful at the back and stop conceding silly free kicks in dangerous positions. We used our width pretty well today, Maxi, Torres and Meireles were involved in all our attacks today, well to an extent Kuyt, but again he was losing the ball a lot.

Meireles was absolutely fantastic today, what a stunning strike! Torres was himself and sharp, absolutely battered the Wolves defence. All he needs is to calm down a bit and not get into petty arguments and get yellow carded, he just needs a bit of discipline. All in all though, his overall game was magnificent. Lucas had an ok game, still fouling a lot. Skrtel was ok too, still not good enough and had some crazy moments, but was solid. Agger was excellent, so was Kelly and Johnson. Poulsen had a wonderful first half but wore off in the 2nd half. Kuyt was Kuyt. Reina made some fantastic saves and his distribution was world class.

What about that 3rd goal eh? the commentator was saying there was about 30 passes for the build up of the goal, just unbelievable! pass pass pass pass goal! made up for that! finally we are playing like a team and a unit again. Lets keep that up!!

oh and a special mention to bermenstein... his form is back   :D

Lucas was great today??? WTF were you watching?? How many stupid unneccsesery fouls the lad gave today near the box? he is a low quality hysterical CM which we don't need here.
