When you realise you're not as good as you thought you were you have to go back to basics, which is what we have done.  Start defending properly.  Show fight and be hard to beat.  We've done that and kept 3 clean sheets in our last 4 outings without losing.

Benitez has done the right thing in the way he's set the team up the last few games.  A run without losing will hopefully give us a platform to build on for a late push for 4th.

It's still a disgrace though the level we're playing at and the squad we have after he's had 5 and a half years and fu.ck knows how many million quid to sort us out imo.

but how can this be, surealy we have the same players as last year and Rafa is still the best manager in the world,  so what has changed, I blame the owners and the press for destabilising the club.

Alonso? Arbeloa? A fit Torres and SG? Can someone ban this WUM please....

Sorry but that post is purely aimed at backing Rafa.

What planet you from? Benitez has set the team up to defend and nick a win, a pathetic attempt to run OUR club. I would rather see us FAIl than watch the same tactics and team selections every week.

The sooner that cowboy goes the better. When your rivals call him "Agent Benitez" because of what a sh!t job he is doing....GET RID

What we need is Dalglish to go public and criticise Rafa. Then maybe the kopites who live in Rafa's arsecrack will change their tune

Wind your neck in mate.

Clearly I don't back Benitez in the long run, but let's face it we aren't going to sack him because we can't afford to.

Look at the last few games objectively instead of as a spoilt wee brat stamping his feet at the fact that the team is doing badly.

TBH mate I agree that the dressing room seems to have gone but I'd never accuse Rafa of losing feeling for the club, not the true club. Underneath all the shite that is currently going on is still the greatest club on this planet and Rafa still holds it close to his heart, but I'm afraid he's gone as far as he can with us.

I heard that Rafa has had the Liverbird tattooed on his :censored:, can anyone confirm this?

I dont even need to read the reports in my inbox....

See ya.

crazy thing is Rafa IS a good manager. he'd probably goto Juve and within his first 3 seasons win the european cup and a league title. seriousley, he is that good. it'd be a fresh team who would all be playing their rocks off for him. however here at liverpool he's lost the respect of our team so we're all out of balance and disjointed and some couldn't give a flying.

but, rafa is a good manager. just not good enough for liverpool anymore.

Rafa - 'Tough game'

'Good game defensively, another clean sheet'

'Another game without losing. Team was strong.'

'We are improving. We had 11 players were doing well so Aquilani didn't play. We had to decide between Aquilani and Gerrard and thought Gerrard would offer more going forward'

'What about Juve?...................It was a tough game. I prefer to talk about the game.'

Objectively...how comical.

Both owners have plenty of money to sack the manager ruining their investment. The reason they don't? The fans. Our loyalty to the manager is unique but when it turns into blind faith it becomes destructive.

Wrong.

The reason they don't?

Because even if we finish mid table we'll still be worth more financially than the peanuts they bought us for.  They see us as a business and don't care about results, why should they?  They're only yank b@st@rds.  We'll be worth even more if they ride out the global recession before selling us, so where's the incentive for them to do absolutely anything other than heap on more debt?

That and because when Benitez WAS poular with most fans they gave him a five year deal in a feeble attempt to get the fams onside, which was never going to work, and now even though Benitez desperately needs to be replaced they can't afford to do so.

Benitez may be losing games, but these cu.nts have royally fu.cked us on a much grander scale.
