We probably would have gotten Mata for a start.

I am trying to stay positive but it's becoming hard. For me the biggest mistake of today was starting with Carra and Skrtel.

I would have preferred Spearing instead of Adam hopefully he gets his chance, Adam has been too inconsistent in a very important part of the field for us. We need consistency, Spearo maybe won't hit the highs Adam does but he certainly will never hit these lows either. Also liked the look of Coates as well, for a big lad he can pass it pretty well he doesn't move like Agger or play into the midfield as much but he switches play pretty often and that's better than hoofing it and losing possession.

A couple of weeks ago we had the chance to KEEP Meireles and Aquilani (our best player in preseason) and chose mediocrity.

We could have bought someone like Aguero instead of Carroll..... Sigh... :sniffle

People you are all hallucinating...Those players looked for Champions league football..we are a still a year or two from attracting such players...They were never an option.
