Maddest goal I've ever seen. In fact, I've never seen a goal like it simply because normally when something as big as an object like that is on the field of play (you know, like two balls on the pitch etc etc) the ref normally stops play until it's cleared. Hmm, not so today. And you won't see another goal like it.

Wasn't actually a balloon. It was more like one of those rubber balls that you blow air into. If it were a balloon it wouldn't have had enough weight behind it to deflect a struck shot. Like I said, it might as well have been another football or a traffic cone or something. F*cking joke that the ref allowed play to go on or even let the goal stand. If that were a kick about down the park and it had have happened, no one would have complained if the keeper had have not wanted the goal to stand. Nobody would argue. Not so in the Prem. It's not taking away the fact that we were sh*te and should have been able to score anyway. But the fact remains, that big red ball decided the outcome of the match.

When asked what he felt about the balloons on the pitch, Rafa said he was sure they would bounce back in their next game[U]

:D :D :D

At least something to laugh at...
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

It was a beachball and thrown on by our own fans? What madness I bet that kid is feeling depressed about now.

I feel a bit sorry for that wee guy actually. It looked like a ball boy or someone just threw a beachball and he punched it onto the pitch. Stupid, stupid thing to do but the chances of it contributing to a goal against us must be miniscule. Especially as the ref should have stopped play when it interfered with the game.

His face is going to be on every forum and possibly every paper in the country tomorrow. He's going to get dogs abuse from everyone he knows and live with the fact that he contributed to a very bad Liverpool defeat. It'll be pretty sh't like.

I don't think that he was the culprit as that occurred in the 24th minute and the score was already 1-0.
