Borini and Lambert winning the game for us  who would have thought. It's that defense that's the real hero though, well done lads  :bowdown .

Would have been the perfect day had Spurs not scored a late winner. Can't complain though, 4 wins in the last 5 matches. Slowly getting back into form.

Rode our luck a bit in the second half but we should have been out of sight by then, that's us unbeaten in our last 8 league games now and we still have our number 1 striker to come back.
Villa have been a bit of a bogey side over the last 4 or 5 years so that was a big win.

Rode our luck too much, buy got the three point.. The game should have put to bed in the first 30 minutes but only for the useless Borini (got a goal) too much rum sterling, light weight Markovic, the headless future LFC skipper.
The players who stood out are, Coutinho, Lucas, Can, Sahko, the keeper!!, but man of match is Skrtel, otherwise it will be Lucas.

Significantly we now have two straight clean sheets in the league and three straight clean sheets away from home in the league.  Work to do yet but we're getting there.

Another 3 points. Yes not vintage stuif, but considering we were away against a team who scrap hard physically, it's a good 3 points with another clean sheet and leaves us in and around 4th place so sets up nicely just ahead of Sturridge's return.

It's easy commenting AFTER the game is over right? We won we should have conceded we dodged a bullet their but if you guys think BR was in control then God bless you.

Though we were terrible for large parts if i'm being honest. Far too much kick and rush stuff.
Still we picked up another 3 points and kept a clean sheet so all is not bad.

Thought there were some spells of the game where we looked really good.  Deserved the 3 points.  Feels really strange saying this, My MOTM is Mignolet

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

That is significant considering we were regularly shipping goals in two's and three's earlier on in the season, in fact at one stage we were on course to beat last seasons total of 50!
As you say our goals against column is still not great (27) but at least now it's more 'distinctly average' than 'awful'.

In hindsight, was a must win game what with utd, southampton and spurs all winning. Would think it's likely Arsenal wil drop points v city, so can gain on them

Yeah we had a 10 point gap to make up on the clubs in the CL places and you don't claw back that type of defecit in 5 minutes, especially on clubs going along quite well themselves. We'll probably have one or two set backs to contend with ourselves so this thing will go right to the wire, but we have done well to get it down to 5 points.

Run in will be very interesting. Keep expecting Southampton to start fading but they keep winning and actually look quite good. In a roundabout way, it's good to be in the chasing pack just so it puts added pressure on the teams in front of us, knowing one loss here and we are right behind them. Could work out will, especially with Sturridge back
