Sky sports - Missing men

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby god_bless_john_houlding » Thu Jul 26, 2007 2:07 am

Sorry to inflict this on you folks but sky sports.com has a game on it called missing men. in order words you have to find the 11 players from a certain team in a certain game. yesterday's was everton against liverpool in 1997. it was the everton side. i managed to get the 11 everton players and am embarrased to admit we lost to this side. 2-0.

here's the side in full
Southall,
Barrett, Watson, Short, Hinchcliffe,
Oster, Stuart, Speed, Williamson,
Cadamarteri and Ferguson.

if anybody can shed any light on how we managed to lose to a side that included Criag Short, Danny Cadamerteri and John Oster, I'd be very impressed.

3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Another Everton side who beat Liverpool, again on www.skysports.com games missing men

Everton's missing men from their 2-0 win over Liverpool in 1993 were: Southall, Holmes, Hinchcliffe, Ebbrell, Ablett, Jackson, Ward, Horne, Beagrie, Cottee and Rideout.

Again any ideas how we've been beaten by this?

At a guess i would say we lost both games due to the fact that they managed to score twice against us in both games and we never managed to score any, its a harsh reality in the Football World that if you don't score any goals you will NOT win the game

Not exactly true because if an opponent scores an own goal you can easily win 1-0 without scoring yourself.

if an opponent scores an own goal that is classed as you scoring a goal so your not so smart after all    :D

now in answer to your question i would hazard a guess at us playing defensive football and not being up for the battle as much as everton, it is after all their cup final

Sorry to go off subject but i didn't want to open another thread- has anyone noticed that Skysports have changed the layout of their website?

They have the squad list set out as Keepers, defenders, midfield, strikers and utility players and among other inaccuracies they have Francis Jeffers as Number 17 and our striker!!! Have i missed something? :D

PeeWee, it may go down as your goal, if it's an own goal, but it's not you who's scored. So I am so smart after all.
