United are putting a sustained run of games together after a disasterous few seasons under Amorim with Carrick providing stability. Slot has lost momentum and hasn't found a style that suites the players nor fans and has failed to demonstrate that we're in 4th place because we're good enough rather than because other teams are dropping more points than we are.
Injury update:
Stefan Bajcetic is yet to play in the 2025-26 season due to injury.
Alisson Becker has missed Liverpool's last eight games. Slot on May 1: “Ali hasn’t trained with us yet. [He is] very close to training with us, I have to hear today from the medical staff if he is able to train today or either tomorrow or otherwise the start of next week.”
Conor Bradley is out for the rest of the season after sustaining a significant knee injury against Arsenal on January 8.
Jayden Danns has not appeared since being forced off in the 29th minute of the U21s' match at Manchester City on March 16.
Hugo Ekitike will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 club season and France's World Cup campaign due to a ruptured Achilles tendon sustained during the Champions League defeat by Paris Saint-Germain on April 14. Slot: "It's going to take a long time."
Wataru Endo won't be available next week for [Manchester] United but we are hoping and expecting him to be back in the end of the season."
Milos Kerkez Slot on May 1: “Milos has had some niggles, But I expect him to either train today or tomorrow.”
Giovanni Leoni is not expected to play again in 2025-26.
Giorgi Mamardashvili Slot on April 24: "Giorgi will definitely not be available for tomorrow and also not for the upcoming weeks."
Mohamed Salah The issue has since been confirmed as a minor muscle injury and he is expected to be available again before the end of the season but not for Sunday [against Manchester United."
Suspensions
No Liverpool players are currently suspended.
United:
Matheus Cunha United are optimistic that Matheus Cunha has recovered from injury in time to be available against Liverpool.
Luke Shaw fatboy is injured which is a shame.
Matthijs de Ligt “Mata [De Ligt] still a bit further and not involved in the game," said Carrick.
Lisandro Martinez will miss the Liverpool game serving the last of his 3 game suspension.
It's a big game, United are rising and confident and have few injuries whist LFC have suffered a terrible season conceding many goals in the last 15 minutes. Utd have home advantage however Liverpool are the better side on paper and have the ability to win if the players are up for it.
We could win, draw or lose depending on Slot's tactics. Sometimes I wish the side would ignore the manager and play to win.
Come on REDS!!
